Service is fast and friendly, rolls are delicious and unique. All rolls come with sesame seeds on them, so please note this if you have a sesame allergy. The miso soup is complimentary and arrives before the sushi entree. The spicy salmon roll isn’t really all that spicy, but has a crunch to it that enhances the roll. The prices are on par with or a little cheaper than most sushi places. You won’t be disappointed if you eat here!

Fantastic! We were on a road trip heading across NY state and wanted to stop somewhere for lunch that wasn’t a highway rest stop. Google led us here. We were questioning our choice when we pulled into a small strip mall with very few cars. When we walked inside, the atmosphere was wonderful though, and the food and service was spectacular! Hidden gem, this place! We had two littles with us, and they quickly offered chopstick helpers and super cool kids drinks — a carbonated strawberry soda in a fun container. Kids were huge fans! We tried a number of special rolls and they were all spectacular. One of my favorite rolls is not fancy nor a common favorite — sweet potato with cream cheese. I’ve sampled this in many many sushi restaurants, and the version at East Sushi was so good I will make an extra effort to seek it out the next time I find myself passing near Sherrill. Wonderful experience all around. Highly recommended.

Very clean inside, nicely done. Sushi was good. Garden salad was large, didnt have the usual ginger dressing but it was tasty. Miso soup was also good.

We usually stay local for sushi but seriously this never disappoints! Always delish and great quality. Occasionally we order elsewhere and every time we regret it. Spicy tuna and Tokyo roll are amazing!!!

I used to go to easy sushi when they first opened years ago but stopped after I got a bad spicy tuna roll. It happens and I wanted to try again becuase I really like the family that owns it and would love to support them. However I just went back tonight and the avacado in the rolls are rock hard. The other thing I noticed is they charge extra per sauce which I have never seen before at a sushi restaurant. I frequently eat sushi and have no problem paying, but having these two factors happen I probably will never be back.

This restaurant was a pleasant surprise. It is located at a small, old strip mall in the city of Sherill. The storefront is very plain and does not post a full menu so that we were not quite sure what to expect. Inside the restaurant was tidy and clean. We were a little worried that they might be just serving those big “creative” rolls with all kinds of stuff inside, but, no, they do serve more traditional sushi, too, along with other Japanese dishes like udon noodles, curry rice, and bento-style set meals. I ordered a regular sushi plate (7 pcs. plus a California roll), and it was excellent. Very fresh and tasty fish, which is not always easy to find around here. Apparently they get their fish delivered from downstate twice a week–no wonder. The couple who runs the restaurant used to work at a Japanese restaurant in NYC and moved here a couple of years ago. The food and the service really show their experience and knowledge. Overall we were very happy to have eaten here. Highly recommended for those who are looking for authentic sushi.

This is one of the best sushi places I have ever been to! Staff is amazing and personable and the food is so fresh and well prepared. Prices are fair and definitely worth visiting!

We ordered bento boxes for supper and was charged extra because it was dinner hours. The portion size for the salmon was literally the length of one broccoli floret and thin! Literally my daughter ate it in one bite! I would have brought it back lol. I called and asked the gentlemen if he served all his salmon that size and he responded “yes all served that size; salmon is expensive you know”. I am Quite disappointed!!! 4stars for their California rolls

Great sushi and sashimi. Visited from New York City area to play golf at turning stone and came here for a lighter lunch and it was perfect. Simple place, but the fish can hold its own with NYC.
