Beautiful restaurant. We’ve been coming for probably two decades with family now. The service is always perfect and the options are endless. Easily the best quality Chinese food I’ve ever had in the entire northeast, look forward to it every time I come to Maine. They even had gluten free options that involved fried food!
Very empty when we went(Saturday lunch at noon in January) but we’ve never had any issues with quality even when busy.

Very nice restaurant, food is good to very good. Sometimes I feel the food could be served at a higher temperature, and occasionally the noodles are on the dry side and spring rolls can be dry sometimes too. Overall a nice experience and I visit every few months.

Food was terrible .. buffet was cold. It was chilled in the building had to eat with layers on.. 50 $ for 2 people that couldn’t eat a whole plate. Will never be back. The only positive is the 2 girls ru ning the buffet were super sweet and very attentive.

My boyfriend and I know better then to stop at American Asian Restaurants that haven’t been recommended but the outside exterior was stimulating, we were hungry and chose compulsively. I’d like to believe this place is much better during the heart of the summer. The food was mediocre at best. The chicken tasted as if it was reheated from the previous day and the calamari was not only chewy but tasted frozen, thawed and just thrown in the dish I ordered. The calamari definitely was not sautéed nor did it have any flavor of the sauce which lead me to my conclusion. The maki roll was the best thing we ordered and still only a 5 out 10 for taste and quality. We had hot tea and I requested a second bag which didn’t improve the taste. My opinion, the owners are buying the cheapest products possible and hoping that most of the dinners have never had decent American Asian Cuisine. My advice keep driving by, there are far better places off 95 and Route 1.

The food was rated low because it was more of a stir fry, when what I ordered was the udon. It was too full of veggies, little to no noodle, very little flavor, and the beef was disgusting. The beef was nothing but fat. The atmosphere was amazing but made me feel out of place being in a fancy hotel styled restaurant by the beach. It felt as though my sister and I would get kicked out for wearing a regular t-shirt and pants. However, the service was good, and the drinks were potent. Scale of 1 to 10 I’d give it a 7.

*Allergy Alert* Uses MSG!!! Can ask for it to not be included but egg rolls and pork fried rice are made in advance & have MSG in them.
We’re warmly greeted and seated. Waiter brought water right away. He was very friendly and helpful with questions.
In my opinion all the food was way too sweet! It was buffet food in a sit down restaurant.
All of our meet was not piping hot. Like it had all been friend and was waiting under a heat lamp till ordered… then throw the same sauce on everything and bam, food.
Building is interesting. Needs some upkeep. Landscaping needs done outside. Bathrooms were clean!

Food was absolutely great, good friendly staff and service was great, I was not expecting anything special, seemed like normal restaurant but when we tasted the food it was really great! Great flavor and very fresh ingredients!

East Restaurant would probably be a five-star but, no hot tea, no brown rice, no shiitake mushrooms, and they forgot to add mushrooms to the order. Regardless the food was good n tasty and the service was excellent. Definitely worth a second look.
