This place doesn’t look like much on the outside or inside, but it’s the best meal we had in Jim Thorpe. We had breakfast. It was delicious and you have enough to take home for later.

The servers were extremely nice. The little girl was adorable. She’s definitely working on her resume at a young age I’m not a “local” like Karen, but I enjoyed her gumption .

A perfect breakfast, truly. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Totally small town vibe, no frills and the food doesn’t mess around!! I got a coffee (v good!), a bacon/egg/cheese bagel, a side of scrapple, and a single chocolate chip pancake. Under $15 and was truly excellent. I will return every time I’m in the area. Cash only but definitely worth the ATM trip. Can’t recommend enough!

Stopped in while the wife and I were away for the weekend and at first the place does look really run down. However the food was pretty good. My wife had eggs benedict and said they were the best she ever ate. I agree they tasted really good and they use a thin ham that make them even better. The home fries were really good as well. I had the country fried state and it was pretty bland. The gravy was good but the steak was small, thin and a bit flavorless. My eggs were good, the pancakes are huge and tasted pretty good. Biggest plus was the prices. Everything was very cheap so it made up for a lot.

If you’re looking for a nitty, gritty diner experience in the Jim Thorpe area, you’ll find it here. Located off the beaten path, this is more of a local dive than an attraction; don’t expect anything fancy and you’ll be alright. The food was pretty good, the service was fine, the proportions were generous.

Hidden little gem! The East Mauch Chunk Eatery is a friendly and diverse little eatery that boasts delicious breakfasts. This was our first visit and definitely not our last! Our eggs and omelette were cooked perfectly, the chicken fried steak was crunch yet tender and moist, the sausage gravy is homemade, and the fried potatoes the best I’ve ever had. The coffee was excellent!!

Stopped here on memorial day morning and was delighted! Located on the first floor of a mid century craftsman home, the location was perfect! Portions were huge and flavorful, 3 Littles cleared there plates! Wait staff was super friendly and attentive, if ever in the area will definitely stop back in.
