My boyfriend and my had gone here for my birthday, January 22nd. It was our first time too
It was such a great experience. I wish I could remember the name of the server we had, but she was extremely friendly and attentive and helpful.
Even the complimentary birthday cheesecake was such a nice surprise! I’m glad the server was able to read people, because she said I seem like the type that did not want a big birthday thing with the attention on me that restaurants usually do when it’s somebody’s birthday (And she was definitely correct) She was very quiet and quick about bringing this out and wished me a happy birthday.
The food was absolutely great, and the blue Hawaiian drink was so good. The robot servers were also adorable.
The restaurant interior was nice and cozy and very modern but still unique.
Even my boyfriend who was never a big fan of Japanese food loved this place, and both of us want go back very soon! (We live in Rochester, so we aren’t that far)
I do wish there were more tempera vegetables options but I found that I loved the tempera yams, and the cheese beef yakitori was absolutely amazing and interesting.

We went here on date night and had a phenomenal time. A meal at East Izakaya isn’t just delectable cuisine – its an experience. Everything from the central fireplace feature, to the cat robot waiters, to the all around ambience was the perfect mixture of fun and elegance. This is not a place to grab and go (I mean there is takeout, and you can, if you must) but I enthusiastically suggest making a reservation and come enjoy yourself for a couple of hours – you won’t regret it! Theres something on the menu for everyone.

Fun place to try a variety of Japanese entrees. Best to do the all-you-can-eat option, since individual plates can get expensive. You order food using a digital tablet, then it comes to your table without much intervention from your server. We had a table of eight and ordered nearly 100 entrees. Servings are small, but if you are hungry just keep ordering more. The food quality is very good, but I’m taking away one star because the food can be luke warm or cold most likely from being prepared in large batches ahead of time. I would go back.

Make a reservation and go to East Izakaya ASAP! We luckily stumbled across their sister restaurant, Wind in Buffalo a couple months ago and we were pleasantly surprised. My wife hates buffets or all you can eat places, but the quality of Izakaya changed her mind.
First off, make a reservation. We made ours over a week ago for a Friday night. When we arrived there were a ton of walk-ins that were acting incredulous when told there would be a 90 minute wait. A popular restaurant is always gonna be busy, especially on the weekends. Plan ahead and you’ll be happy.
Anyway, back to the restaurant itself. The inside is well appointed, perfect lighting level and a cozy temperature. On a brutal cold night we were lucky to be seated next to their fireplace, that thing was toasty.
With in 3 minutes of being seated we had a glass of water and a sever passed by with a delicious selection of roasted meats on skewers. This is like Brazilian steakhouse meets sushi fusion.
We plugged our drinks and first round of bites into the tablet and very quickly we were served. For about 2 hours we indulged in round after round of drinks and sharable plates.
The servers were great, the friendly delivery robot was cool and every bite was a pleasant burst of flavor. I don’t know how many choices are on that menu, but it seemed endless. A couple items I want point out, the coconut curry soup and the beef short ribs. The soup is spicy and savory. The short ribs are thinly sliced, rich little bites of heaven. So good.
Go to East Izakaya now, be hungry when you arrive, you’ll leave happy and sated!

This is a very nice and fun restaurant to go to. The only thing is when you choose all you can eat. The items doesn’t come in order sometimes. We ordered yakamoots barbeque and Noodles to eat together. The meats came first and then after 20 minutes the noodles showed up which we were peeved. It was same for some of other dishes we ordered together and they don’t come together:(. Also if order appetizer don’t get fooled by pictures like us. You only get 1. Literally only one Shrimp tempura per order.
The sushi were great

Last night was our first time here. To be completely honest, it was my 57th birthday and we were headed to a different restaurant that turned out not to be open, but I’ve always wanted to try this place because I’ve driven by it so many times. I’m so glad things worked out the way they did. It was absolutely beautiful inside. I love the ambiance. Everyone was so nice. My server was amazing. He got everyone together to sing happy birthday. Even brought the robot to my table and I absolutely love the robot. LOL. They brought me a plate that said happy birthday in chocolate drizzle with cheesecake and creme brulee. I was very touched because I told my server I did not want to know anything about my birthday after my daughter mentioned it. The food was out standing. We honestly did not know what we were doing, but we ordered what we wanted and it turned out to be the best we’ve ever had. I will definitely be back!! Thank you so much for the cheer on my birtday ❤️

When my wife and I came in to East Izakaya last week we were blown away. You may have doubts about an all you can eat sushi place, but trust me, this place won’t disappoint. The food was sooooo good. Service was even better. The place was clean, bright and inviting. Our server Kyla made us feel like we were some of her old friends. She was the perfect blend of professional and laid back (one of the best servers I’ve ever had). The shift manager Mateo also was great. The entire staff worked effortlessly with everyone. Coming from a customer service background it was very cool to see and very appreciated. Now let me tell you about the food! Sushi was killer. Rolls, Sashimi, Nigiri and Temaki were all on point! Beef was cooked perfect and everything tempura was so, so light and crispy. Even their chicken wings are great. Sea Bass was wonderful. My wife and I also couldn’t get enough of the fried cheese cake and creme brulee. I honestly can’t rave enough about this place. I can not wait to go back!

We did a weeknight all you care to eat menu and really enjoyed the experience! The restaurant is very nice inside with an upscale modern feel. The server was very friendly and helpful and came to the table quickly every time we submitted a new order for the kitchen. Drink menu had a lot of seasonally inspired cocktails that were presented well and with good descriptions. Prices were very reasonable for the cocktails as well. All the food we tried was delicious and well presented. The dishes come out on small plates, tapas style, so keep that in mind when ordering items to try. The sushi rolls were well crafted and nicely presented. Overall, would highly recommend and we will be back again for sure!

Well this has to be one of the best all you can eat sushi places around. My wife and I went here for lunch for the first time today.
For those who don’t know you walk in they ask if your doing all you can eat or à la carte. If you do all can eat they grab an iPad ordering service and take you to your table. They briefly explain your server will be over and you pick things on the tablet and then hit call your server and your server comes by and types in the codes to send it to the kitchen.
You repeat until you’re done.
We got Nigiri, rolls, soups, appetizers, dessert we tried it all.
The sushi is excellent and the rolls are big! Don’t order too many at a time. The things that aren’t obvious that stood out to us. The sushi pizza is amazing. It’s a super crispy hash brown circle with the topping you choose. These are very good and different. The sliced steak on the skillet with onions thing I can’t recall the name was also very good. These clam appetizer was great I’ll get all of these things again next time.
I don’t feel it’s that much more pricy than regular sushi if you ordered a lot.
Sit down, grab a large sake, and enjoy. It’s really that good.
