Formerly Earth Eagle Brewings, the new name (Tavern) reflects changes to the beer offerings. Earth Eagle’s own beers are now available only periodically, with the majority of beers on tap being a curated selection of fine beer from producers from local to international. The food menu is extensive. Check out the outrageous hot dogs (16 options!), melty panini sandwiches, flavorful bowls, jumbo pretzels. In addition to fine beer, choose from cocktails, commercial beers, hard cider and more. Live music; Trivia Night (Wednesdays); Open Mic (Thursdays); Comedy Night (monthly). And plenty of free parking!

I attended the Science Cafe: Oyster that was sponsored by the Gundalow Company. Aquaculture event and I was surprised by the turnout! The bar was full! I was fortunate to find a seat at the bar! The place is small.
The brewery is behind the bar. There are different brews on tap. The items that dominated the menu were hot dogs, though they had different items as well. I had a Lassie Turkey dog that had sauerkraut, Dijon mustard and a pickle . I chose chips as my side. Ginger Beer to wash it down. You can choose different types of hot dogs.
Service was good. Live, not the band who sings “I Alone”, music was playing when I left.
Thanks to this establishment for allowing this event to take place!

Brews were definitely on point. The Tap Attendee was also one of the Brew Masters and was definitely down to talk and compare their works to other known breweries. The Craft Dogs were really good, with plenty of fun named-themed choices on the menu.

Moved out of Portsmouth to this new location. Obviously the Portsmouth location was better, but you can’t blame them for wanting to lower the rent and keep pricing reasonable. Great beer – the white porter was a highlight. Not sure why they’re proselytising the hotdogs so hard when the sandwiches are knocking it out of the park, but if you eat them all within 30 days the coveted “I went down on all the wieners!” shirt is yours.

Checked out this brewery tonight to see live music and the service didn’t disappoint one bit! Ordered the cinnamon sugar pretzel and although they were out of chocolate sauce, they went into the kitchen and came back out to tell me they’d be making it for me from scratch!
