We have been trying different places for our weekly date nights and when we saw Earl’s menu and pics, we decided to go last night. It was wonderful. My hubs got the Graceland, which is the bologna on Texas toast….y’all!!!, that was the thickets and best bologna he and I have ever tasted! I had the Earl burger and it was fantastic. You get plenty of food that’s for sure! Oh, one more thing….we ordered the fried pickles and they were a little too salty. Just mentioned it to the waitress but didn’t expect a comp….was fully prepared to pay for them, but because service was top notch, the waitress read her customers and delivered! Please, if you are in the Winston Salem area, this is a MUST eat place!!

Just ate here and hands down the worst service and meal I’ve had in a long time. Our group of 5 always meets up to eat here before we go to the theater several times a year. Got here at 12pm with people at 2 other tables. It took 1 hour to get our food, I had to go to the bar to get a drink refill because our waitress never came back to table till our food got here. And we just decided to drink water as she never came back to ask if we wanted anything else to drink. Everyone’s food (5 of us) came out wrong or cold. If we were not headed to see a play I would have sent my food back. I had the Yolked & Loaded, eggs were cold and they left the queso off. When they brought out my queso it was not only cold but so cold it was solidified and not liquid. Onion rings were cold on 2 others plates and they brought out the wrong side on another dish.
The kicker was for a group of 5 is that we got charged gratuity automatically (which we never have before, maybe because she put in 6 people on ticket?), and there was a 4% operations fee added to all our bills. We paid in cash, one with card. After paying we asked what that fee was, and we’re told it was credit card fee. I paid with a card but everyone else paid cash and her response was well I can refund that to you if you want.
On one check that paid with cash not only did they not get their change back, they were charged a card fee for using cash and the waitress got more of a tip than we would have left. At this point it had been 2 hours and we had to go, so we just let it go.
I get charging a card fee for using a card, but don’t add it to the damn bill until you know they are paying with a card. I question how much extra money Earls or the waitresses rake in doing this unethical practice to those paying in cash.
Sorry Earls but this is the 3 strikes your out for this group to eat here again.
Picture attached shows how there was hardly anyone there while we were.

Eclectic bar with different cocktails you wont find in most bars. I ordered 2 the Arm chair old fashioned and porch light both were amazing. I was not very hungry so I went with the fried catfish nuggets as my meal, they were tasty but a disappointment due to the size, quarter sized I have never received such small catfish nuggets. My boyfriend got a burger he loved it, for sides we got the fried okra and onion rings. We sat at the bar, the bartender was friendly and attentive. We will definitely go back to try more drinks and other food items

We stopped in randomly off the highway for some quick sit down food and a beer. This cozy little nook seems tucked away but opens up into a spacious room of large TVs Nd seats for hanging out. The food was delicious. The drinks were okay. The atmosphere was my top take away. Everything in Winston Salem had that deep artsy vibe to it.

My friend and I ate at Earl’s for the first time. The outside seating is away from street noise and they have it nicely decorated. The burger and crinkles were amazing! The margarita was small for the price and not much kick. Service was great. I would definitely go back for the food and atmosphere.

One of the best places in town. Wings have very good flavor. Cajun jerk and lemon pepper were some of the best. Great beer selection and tvs for the games. Bar service till midnight.

This was a decent experience. I ordered the shrimp n grits, but they gave me the fried catfish n grits. I didn’t send it back, and it was still good. Not the biggest portion tho. Some of the prices were a little high, $20 for a half rack of ribs. Drinks were good.

Recently moved to Winston Salem and stumbled across this hidden gem. The atmosphere is great (Big Screen TV’s everywhere), they also have a pool table and the customer service was A1… My bartender was Brittany and she was amazing!!!! Her energy is everything, very welcoming and kind. I ordered loaded fries from the late night menu and they were Delicious. Plenty of seating (bar, booths or large tables), clean restroom and outdoor areas. Highly recommend!

Good overall, but not great. Service was solid and having no wait was definitely a plus. The menu was very interesting and enjoyable overall, with some unique options that stood out.
Food quality was decent and portions were fair, though nothing really blew me away. Atmosphere was comfortable and casual, making it a good spot for a low-key meal.
I’d probably come back again, especially if I was in the area or looking to try a few other items on the menu, but there’s still room for improvement.

What a great place. Went with a large group and the drinks were amazing. The food was on point, especially the brussel sprouts! It was quite loud and so busy it was a challenge for the servers. But neither of these things are the fault of the restaurant. What a great find! Definitely make Earl’s a regular spot! And ask for Madi the bartender and manager. She will make you feel like family!
