I finally had the opportunity to stop at this little bakery shop today. I’m always in their neck of the woods but never when they are open. They are only open on the weekends and I was conveniently by the shop so it was only right to stop in.

Parking is towards the back and there’s quite a few spots available which is nice. I adore the building they are in. I love older store fronts that have been revamped and turned into charming venues. Walking in, you notice how country shabby it is. I appreciate the esthetic here. I love me a beautiful shabby country feel. It’s a smaller but intimate setting.

There’s drinks in a cooler for sale. Coffee beans, dried flowers and other fun gifts on display. After checking out their goods, I headed over to their display of baked goodies. My first impression of these treats was wow! They were all beautiful, delicate and delicious looking. These goodies would be perfect for a bridal shower, a wedding or just a nice tea party. Completely stunning.

I wanted to start my first visit here with something classic so I ordered the chocolate chip cookie and the peanut butter cookie. I was planning on taking them to go and share them with my husband. If I did stay to enjoy my pastry, I would have tried the banana pudding. I would have wanted to have the whole experience of having it in the venue with a tea.

My husband and I enjoyed the chocolate chip cookie. It was crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. I do wish there were more chocolate chips in the cookie. We felt like we ate more of the cookie without the chocolate than with. We both do look forward to trying the peanut butter cookie later.

I believe this would have been a 5 star visit if the service was friendlier. I know I only ordered 2 cookies but it was “that’s it?!?” that threw me off. Regardless if I came in for 1 cookie or a dozen, I believe a guest should be treated nicely. It’s not the price point of the guest. It’s the fact that we came in to support your local business. My 2 cookies with tip was pushing 11 bucks. 11 bucks can buy me a whole grip of Tollhouse bake your own cookies but instead I wanted to spec this place out and support you.

I am charmed by this place. I do look forward to coming back. The banana pudding is something I will have to try next time if it’s available. I just know coming in next time what kind of service I would be expecting and not to expect too much.

Amazing new bakery and shop in the heart of Boise. I had several baked goods and I loved all of them. Their little shop was beautifully curated! The nicest staff and a comfortable atmosphere. I’ve already told several people to check it out.

I wanted to be taken in more than I was. Such is the appeal of social media. It also helps to arrive when they open (9 am), or risk staring at slim pickings.

We didn’t feel very welcomed when we stepped inside, though. (Fair warning: you can’t get in from the main road, go around the back entrance through a residential area.) The vibe was off.

But there is a surprisingly large enough space for a few cafe tables & a small gift market up front, plus a gaggle of regulars.

The pear/cardamom loaf was soft, sweet, & probably the best thing we ordered. The canelé was just alright, if a bit chewy-stale-tasting. There wasn’t much else in the display case by the time we arrived, after 10 am, other than Thanksgiving sandwiches (with cranberry, yuck), a vegan chocolate chip cookie, & an intimidating, dry-looking scone.

Hands down some of the best baked goods in Idaho! And even better, the people there are incredible! Always welcoming and super friendly. Ignore anyone that says otherwise cause this place and the people running it, is exactly what Boise needed! Don’t sleep on this spot, it’s amazing!

FANTASTIC bakery! I know these folks are working on opening a larger bakery and this current location is a great introduction for the public to see what they can expect….DELISH PASTERIES/ BAKED GOODS! The canele is perfection. The texture may not be for everyone but for me “chefs kiss”. Get there when they open as they will sell out!

As a born and raised Idahoan, I’m so happy Boise is starting to get some attention in the food scene! DM had such a great range of flavors and textures in all of their products (as you can see we literally got one of each). The staff was all so nice and informative, even through the busyness of a Friday morning!! I truly can’t wait until their second location opens up near my office!

Never have not felt super welcomed and excited by the talented people that work here! I love that Boise is now home to delicious, unique options from talented people. (The owner had a very successful bakery in the Midwest and decided to come back here and open TWO spaces!) It’s about time!

I LOVE this charming bakery. Great vibes, great staff, great food. I haven’t had a bad item (and trust, my hubby buys a box full of goodies every time). I love seeing what the seasonal beverage is each weekend; it’s my little treat for myself and I’m always delightfully surprised at what it is. This is definitely a must-frequent Boise bakery.
