Driving through we noticed a new sigh on the building so we stopped and had a drink. No food this time.
We were told it opened in July of 2025.
The place is huge but quiet. We sat at the bar, there there 2 tables right behind us and we could hardly beer a thing they were taking about. This place has great sound dampering.
The bartender took her time telling us about the place and still served us promptly.
Their menu looks like they have a variety and some enticing options.
I will definitely be back if we come through again.

We saw the Facebook posts and all the 5 star reviews, so expectations were high.
We ordered wings and pizza. The wings were fantastic and an easy must order. Highly recommend.
The pizza looked perfect. The crust was cooked to perfection and the cheese was well executed, but despite that, the pizza itself just lacking. We both agreed it was very bland. With so many rave reviews, it may have just been an off night.
Staff was amazing, the place was clean, and we’ll definitely be back for wings and to try other menu items.

Reviewing a place local to you is tough. You need to be honest and tell your experience. Well, some are fantastic and some are not. But to make your review worth a grain of salt you need to leave out feelings and tell the experience like it was. I hesitated to write this one as so many people are raving about the pizza here. But here goes….. Walking up I have to say I hate the parking but that is not their fault. But when opening the door the place is homey and I like that the front seating and the back seating is separated giving it a smaller feel. Smart idea. I went straight to the bar to see what was on tap as I prefer tap beers. They had a very good selection for a dining place (all domestic). The waitress was timely enough to take our order and the drinks arrived soon after. So far so good. The pizza showed up and we dished it out while having good conversation. The first downer. The pizza was lacking sauce and the flavor was nothing unique. Nothing stood out. I mean it was a pizza. But spices nor herbs could be distinguished. Just plain bland. Nuff said. Since I did not try anything else I can’t comment on their menu. The beer I got was in a nice correct glass for the type of beer it was. Price was on par for bigger towns. Well, we were in no hurry but when the meal was done the crowd had grown and the place was half full. 20 minutes had gone by and I did have to stop the waitress to get our bill. She was nice and friendly but since I am reviewing for the masses this wait per number of customers is not normal. I have no problems with her demeaner and she was friendly. We paid the tab and left. Dissappointment was what I left with. Probably because the Sterling, Rock Falls, and Dixon crowds had been bragging for weeks on how good the pizza was. MAYBE that had an affect on how let down I was. The group with me agreed on the pizza at least. Hey, chalk it up to I tried it. Too many places to go to that are above my experience there to go back to Dunks unless I am rolling through and stopping for a beer. This is not a negative review at all. So don’t go scrolling away from this thinking so. And maybe other stuff is better. Just my thoughts. Go try em’. Maybe you will love them. The pizza was cooked perfect and sliced fine. So there is that also. Cheers

Dunks popped up on my Facebook feed and the food looked great, we decided to try it. We came on a Friday night, if you want quick service not the greatest time as they were busy. We were in no rush though. Janet was our server, service was great and she was very friendly. We ordered burgers and pizza and it was all very tasty. Will definitely come back when the weather is nicer. It was pretty chilly inside but that’s because the door kept opening letting that cold air come in but other than the atmosphere was fine.

Service was fast and attentive. The food tasted great and portions were large. The atmosphere was clean and welcoming. Steve Scott seated us and checked on often. We will definitely be back!

I come to Dixon about two times a year for work and noticed this place was new since I had last been here so decided to give it a try and am very glad I did. I did carry out and got 12 buffalo wings which were incredible! Great taste and all were good sized. Also they include a free side salad as if you were to eat there you would get a trip to the salad bar so that was nice. I will absolutely be back next time I’m in town!

Had a great dining experience. Our waitress was Janet. She was very friendly, prompt and kept up with our order and drinks. We had 4 adults and 3yr old…food was was delicious – Italian Beef, Boneless Wings, Gluten Free Pizza, Italian Beef Poutine Horseshoe and Dino Nuggets — thanks for great service and a great meal!!

We had our first pizza from Dunk’s tonight and certainly not our last. It was delicious! Sauce was a little sweet and a little spicy. He ordered ours with sausage, pepperoni, mushroom, onion and bell pepper. A “special” if you will. In-laws won’t stray from our town’s original pizza place, but sometimes they don’t answer the phone. This might be my new favorite!
