Very informal , vibrant , bright environment. Full disclosure we dined in on a Friday night around 7pm and as it was our first time there with no prior experience I can only give the service 3 stars. They were very welcoming and polite it was just quite a wait once we got sat to the time we finally got drinks.
The food is very well cooked , prepared , and served. Their crab puffs are in my top two locally (oddly enough their competition for best crab puffs is right next door at 888 bistro).
The General Tsos was delicious and prepared differently and more spicy than I’m accustomed to but I loved it as I like spice.
I’m not much of a dumpling person but the dumplings were well cooked, soft, and flavorful and my girlfriend said they’re some of the best she’s had.
The fried rice is on par with the best there is locally, full of flavor and hearty.
I got the strawberry refreshing tea and it was heavy on the syrup. I think next time I’d try the Thai black tea.

Food was great! One thing you should definitely know though that I wish they would be clear about is the iced tea is not regular iced tea. It’s gardenia iced tea which is very different than normal iced tea. Other than that the food was delicious! Cream cheese wontons were good, but need a lot more cream cheese.The dumplings we ordered were filled with the best broth I’ve ever had. I went to what was considered the best place in Houston for dumplings and they were not half as good as these ones. Also, the potstickers were very delicious. The barbecue ribs did have a delicious flavor, but they were VERY tough. The bunny buns they have for dessert were flavorless, but they did look really cool. But if you don’t come here for anything else you should definitely try The dumplings!

Seriously good dumplings and so many choices! Everything is handmade by these cooks. We’ve had our eye on this place for a while and finally went. We were not disappointed! The staff was so kind and everyone is your waitstaff, which we liked very much. Shout out to Kristen for leading us through our first time and answering all our questions. Last note, they have regular customers with dairy and nut allergies and are able to accommodate. We will be back for sure!!!

I was initially skeptical about this place when my husband suggested having dinner here tonight. However, my son mentioned that one of his friends, Josh—who is a picky eater when it comes to Asian food—loves the dumplings at Dumpling World.
Well, Josh wasn’t wrong. The dumplings are amazing! They make them in-house, with 2-3 dumpling chefs in the kitchen preparing everything from scratch, including the dough and the fillings. What I truly love about this place is that the dumpling wraps are thinly rolled and filled generously, resulting in less carbs. Everything was incredibly flavorful.
We ordered the pork and shrimp bao, which were huge, and the soup that came with it was delicious! We also tried the steamed pork dumplings, vegan mushroom and bok choy pot stickers, and pork dumplings in spicy and sour sauce. To top it off, we had stir-fried green beans with minced pork. Kudos to the chefs—everything exceeded our expectations!
The staff was friendly, especially the restaurant manager, who was outgoing and attentive. The atmosphere and the exterior of the building might not look appealing, resembling a hole in the wall, and the parking lot could use some TLC, but the food more than makes up for it.
For sure we will return soon.

This eating experience was wonderful- fresh food, excellent customer service, and a family-style eating experience. Plates are dim sum style, so shareable with a variety of different flavors and choices. We did find some of the plates over salted, but after speaking to the staff, they assured us the message would be delivered to the kitchen. The environment does seem warm and welcoming, but a mismatch for the cuisine. Overall this restaurant serves hot meals freshly, with great ingredients.

Oh man 10/5 stars! Every single thing I have tried over 2 visits have been out of this world- the service is TOP KNOTCH – the food is fresh and absolutely delicious- the environment is just quaint and home like… it certainly doesn’t represent the quality of the food and service, but I like it that way- it’s clean and tidy, and casual enough to show up in flip flops and shorts but with the quality of an elegant 5 star restaurant!
We go on special occasions and indulge in multiple menu items at a time ( which can get pricey/ and worth EVERY CENT) but it’s definitely affordable for a regular meal.
I can’t say enough about this establishment or the experience they provide and 5 stars certainly isn’t enough-

$15 and my plate was 90% carrots. Staff is super friendly and food came out fresh so I didn’t mind the short wait. Double check your cups tho bc mine had a lipstick smudge. Photos shown are before and after I separated the meat.

I had a chicken entree and braised pork dumplings. Didn’t like any of it. Flavors were bad. The dumplings were full of chewy inedible fatty pieces. No meat. Threw it all out.

We are at Dumpling World Clear Lake for the first time tonight. The building is older and used to house a Mexican restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the interior was redone. It was very clean and nice. I marked off points on atmosphere because you sit on wooden benches with wooden backs. As someone with a back injury, it didn’t take long for the pain to kick in. The service was fast and the staff was courteous. The food was delicious! I have included photos of the Edamame, Spicy and Sour Pork and Scallion (spiced just right and not sour), Beef and Onion dumplings, and Chicken and Corn dumplings. Go and enjoy!
