This is a weird place because it tries to have everything. It’s probably a Cajun seafood place that didn’t work out so it became a Chinese food place but kept the Cajun seafood on the menu. My problem with that is Cajun seafood requires very fresh seafood so without large clienteles I can’t see how they can keep the food fresh with minimal freezing.
The Chinese restaurant itself also changed ownership a couple of times at least but they kept the old stuff on the menu so that’s also not very good for making great food. There is still a lot of Cantonese food on the menu.
The latest rendition (the previous one had some Shanghainese food on the menu) is supposed to be Sichuan/Chongqing food but other than making the food spicy I don’t like the noodle at all (not chewy as proper noodle should be). I believe the owner is from Dongbei so it’s definitely not authentic. However if you miss spicy food and you have to come here, then the food is edible.
The decor is interesting and I wouldn’t say it’s bad. It’s better than those bland decors in some Cantonese restaurants on the same street.
Overall I don’t like the food and I hope they step on the food part and make a decision of what food they actually know how to cook properly instead of a mixture of everything that has failed before.
Service is ok and you can tell the server is from when the restaurant was Cantonese.

The food was beyond delicious, service was incredibly friendly, and the price was more than fair. If you love a mom and pop vibe but with a little splash – come here!

I highly recommend it, super delicious for a hangover, spicy as it should be. The service is super efficient, and they say that authentic Chinese food is different, not as Americanized as Panda Express. I recommend it with a nice cold drink.

Something special about this place, seafood is so good, hospitality at its best. I liked their spacey layout and the decorations. So generous in their offerings, thank you Dennis, I will come back for sure

We have been here twice and have enjoyed the food very much. The service is a little slow but the place is welcoming and cozy. The Pan Fried Pork Baos are our favorite. The fried rice and chicken is to the standard which is good. We will come back again, but probably to go.

The food was top tier, I haven’t had food like this in at least a year. I haven’t found a new spot that I will be visiting frequently. The staff is very respectful and very pleasant. This place makes you feel welcome, and they are so hospitable. The chefs cooking are really great too I was able to meet them and they are proud of there food and want to make the best for you.

This Cajun and Chinese food mixed is unique and special. The food is excellent and well prepared. The dumplings are the best and very well prepared, better than other places and you have the soup inside each dumpling, which is well done. And the green string Beans was at the right tenderness. The problem is the parking… and the location is not the best

The food doesn’t taste good, just moderated. I ordered four dishes, only the cucumber salad taste good to me. Others were too dry (for the beef) or not worthy (for the fish). The fried rice taste okay, but to me, it looks like white rice. Maybe it’s seafood would taste better. But the seafood items and its price did not attract me at all.

This is a new restaurant and my friend and I went there for dinner. It was hard to find a parking spot even though there were some street parking spots. We didn’t need to wait to get our table, and the server was quite nice. The appetizer/cucumber salad was good. The Szechuan boiled fish fillet was okay, just like the regular boiled fish fillet in other places. The blue crab fried rice was okay, although I was expecting something more different. Brisket pot was not that good and my friend complained that the meat was too tough and hard to chew, and I kinda agreed with her. And some of the prices are a bit expensive. Overall, it was not too bad but I will not recommend to my other friends.

The seafood garlic noodles are so good! Highly recommended! Everything else was decent (not amazing but not bad). Beef noodle soup was pretty generous on the meat portion. The Cajun shrimp was ok (Boiling Crab is our all time favorite and nothing beats it). We didn’t get any dumplings this time but they look good so we’ll save it for our next visit!
