This place was wonderful! My friend (Ecuadorian) and I (American) were in LA, and he hadn’t had Ecuadorian food in a long time. It’s quite rare in the States! We found Dulcisfama and it was outstanding. He can vouch for the authenticity and taste (amazing!), and I can say that any Ecuadorian food I have in the future will have a high bar to clear. Simply put, if you’re ever in LA, check out Dulcisfama. Family run, excellent food, the highest marks.

The workers are so attentive, kind and polite. The food was very delicious . I came with my family and we ordered : guatita, ceviche de camaron, seco de chivo, pan de yuca , enpanada, encebollado . We ordered coffee that was freshly made and soda tropical and inka cola . If you’re looking for an Ecuadorian restraunt with great service and great food this is the place to go to . My little brother was watching a soccer game on his phone and they even played it on their tv just for him to watch . Love it here . Will definitely be back . Que viva Ecuador ❤️

This was my first time at an Ecuadorian restaurant in California as they are hard to come across. My experience was nothing short of satisfied customer service, food authenticity, and an amazing atmosphere. I ordered Guatita and was instantly reminded of my Grandmothers cooking, which was super great as I haven’t had the dish in over 4 years. Thank you, Dulcisfama!

Was visiting LA and my boyfriend wanted to find a place for Ecuadorian food and this place was amazing! I haven’t tried much Ecuadorian food but I can definitely say the food was delicious! The kind people running it were so sweet and made us feel very comfortable, I would 100% recommend!

On Sunday 10/26, my friend and I had an amazing experience. The food was delicious and everyone was very nice to us. I was telling the older gentleman how I was happy to have found an authentic Ecuadorian restaurant after many years because I do not live in the area and there are no Ecuadorian restaurants where I live in northern California. The younger man who had been helping was also very attentive coming and asking if we enjoyed everything and was very nice. I spent almost $200 ordering 6 or 7 different items to try as well as support a business from people who share my heritage. The gentleman asked where my father was from and had suggested I try the pastries because they are the kind made in Guayaquil where my grandfather was born. I told him I would pick some up today and more that the lady baker was going to customize for me to take back home fresh to my family.

So today, 10/29 at 12pm I call the restaurant before coming in to pick up the pastries. I call and someone picks up the phone and immediately hangs up. I assume it was an accident and wait a few minutes before calling back. I call a second time and a woman answers. I politely ask her out of respect (in Spanish) if she speaks English because my Spanish is not perfect. She replies to me in Spanish and says No, speak in Spanish please. In Spanish I start to tell her that on Sunday I had ordered the little man bread pastries… I hesitated for 2 seconds because I couldn’t remember how to say with a mustache in Spanish and she abruptly interrupted me to say (in spanish), “I dont have time to listen to you.” And hangs up on me. So I want to apologize to the nice men for not coming in to pick up the pastries like I promised but I will never return to your restaurant as long as that rude woman still works there. I have never been so embarrassed by someone like that before. Señor, if you ever do decide to open another restaurant in Sacramento, I will still come support you like we talked about. I don’t want to rate your restaurant negative and hurt you because of the woman who was rude and ruined a wonderful experience with wonderful food and people. But her behavior and impact should be known for the sake of protecting your business.

The greatness of a business is also the growth of its employees. I’ve had the chance to eat Ecuadorian dishes, but I must admit that the dishes are delicious at this place. However, on all four occasions, I’ve been there. The girl who serves the service has caught my attention. She’s had hollows in her cheeks when she smiles and her subtle way of suggesting dishes. The annoying thing is when I leave a tip, it never reaches her. I saw that yesterday when the gentleman kept it. I noticed that she serves dishes, is also a cashier and a waitress. Wow. I’d like you to help me find a number where I can send a message directly to her. Another important suggestion is that when you eat, you often just want to enjoy your dish, and conversations with the other waiter become long. For the rest, keep going, but fix your mistakes, because our businesses grow thanks to them (employees).

Amazing food with equally nice and amazing owners. We had the goat stew and the fish soup. I would highly recommend visiting it if you want authentic Ecuadorian food.

I visited last night with my son and his GF who’s half Ecuadorian, and has visited Ecuador numerous times.

She was excited to drink a Inka Cola and more so about the pan de yuca.

The hostess came and described many of the menu items and was so proud and excited to share her food.

We ordered the pan de yuca, tigrillo, and bandera doblo guata/ceviche and shared family style.

The look of delight and satisfaction on the girlfriend’s face when she took her first bite of the puffball (pan de yuca) confirmed the foods authenticity.

The Bandera Doblo was perfection – and a lovely presentation – with crispy/tangy onions and mid sized shrimp ceviche. The goat was melt in your mouth tender and gravy/sauce so delicious with the rice and plantain.

The Tigrillo was so satisfying with the crunchy bits of pork, I could’ve had several more bites but was so stuffed by the end!

It was AMAZING food. Truly delicious and quite the “comfort food”. We were all stuffed and as we walked back to our car the girlfriend proclaimed, “I’m so full of happiness, right now! Both my heart and my stomach, what a wonderful meal!”

Go support this BEAUTIFUL hard working immigrant family – you will not be disappointed.

(Note on Atmosphere. This is not fine dining in a bougie space. it’s a start up with commercial lighting that’s a little harsh and random furnishings. But there is a wonderful mural taking up an entire wall! It features a map of Ecuador, sea turtles, volcanoes, etc. So fun!

Also- if you approach from Vermont heading north, it was hard to tell they were open, so be sure to turn the corner onto Gardena – they are open as advertised!

I wish the service would have been better but I asked for a side yapingachos and the 12 year old kid that was attending us said they did not make seperate orders … we asked for a seperate order of platanos they did make separate orders…. after we paid the bill my wife asked the cashier why they didn’t, she said they did. Just a fyi for the next. Wish service woukd have been better. not the kids fault….
