Checked out Dukes’s after a recommendation and very happy that I did. Duke’s is located within the Legends Bay Casino however there is plenty of free parking and the restaurant is very close to the entrance of the Casino. Once inaode the restaurant, you can’t tell you’re even in the same Casino building. Very well furnished and decorated, I opted for the bar lounge side and a high top as I was dining solo.

Service was outstanding, my server was fantastic. Friendly, attentive, with prompt courteous service.

Opted again for the features, mussels and clams for an appetizer followed by a 12oz meal chop. Cooked to the Chefs choice at medium, and it was outstanding.

Definitely adding Duke’s to my list of favorites, thanks for an outstanding dinner service!

The atmosphere is spot-on—dark, moody, and exactly what you’d want from a high-end steakhouse. The ambiance alone sets the tone for a great night out. The service is truly exceptional; the waitstaff goes above and beyond and was the highlight of the experience.

Unfortunately, the food fell short. The French onion soup was far too salty, and while everything else was better in balance, it still lacked flavor. The filet mignon was buttery, smooth, and cooked perfectly, but under-seasoned—even the horseradish cream sauce didn’t add much. The crab legs were delicious but came in a small portion. The shrimp cocktail featured large prawns, but both the shrimp and cocktail sauce were bland.

The drinks were good and reasonably priced, but nothing stood out.

Overall, the service and ambiance shine, but the food needs more finesse to match.

From the moment we sat down, we were pleasantly surprised with freshly baked bread and butter on the house – such a thoughtful touch! One of the highlights of our dinner was definitely the Oysters Rockefeller – absolutely delicious and a must-try if you visit.

I also tried the Yellowfin Tuna. I was expecting it to be served differently, but it turned out to be a simple tuna tartare. It had a unique twist with some cheese in it – not exactly my style, but still tasty.

The star of the night was the Filet Mignon – cooked to perfection and incredibly flavorful. Highly recommend it if you’re a steak lover! As for cocktails, the Lemon Drop was refreshing and perfectly balanced.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the service was top-notch, and the interior design is just stunning. Highly recommend this place – and I’ll definitely be coming back!

Duke’s Steak House is always the highlight of my trips to Reno. I’m impressed every time with their food, presentation, and the overall fine dining experience. Their digital menus were also easy to read in the lower lighting.

So I happen to come across this steakhouse as I was grabbing lunch, I asked a gentleman who was getting in his car if there were restaurants inside the casino, he said two places to eat one being a Steakhouse. So I was curious and went in on Tuesday but it was closed. I booked my reservation via Open Table (strongly suggested). The evening of the next came to try this place out… Wow! First of all, I send a big hug to the ladies at the hostess desk, classy, cordial, respectful and polite! Second, to Adrian, Destiny at the bar, you guys are world class! To Kevin and Oscar in the lounge area, you guys are champs!!! I didn’t get the name of the other two ladies in the lounge area but you ladies are amazing too! You know who you are.

Part 1 – My first night (Wednesday) started with a Smoked Old Fashioned (JD), I ordered the Shrimp cocktail, super fresh and delicious. The team gave me bread with butter and it was yummy! Then ordered 6oz Mignon, with a loaded baked potato with some carrot and broccoli. The steak was cooked to perfection (medium). Loaded potato was with the right amount of bacon, butter and sour cream until your last bite which was nice. For dessert, I had the Crème Brûlée. The bar area was so elegant and check out the wine rack covering the entire wall, wow! Food was so amazing I booked my reservation for Thursday.

Part 2 – Came for dinner on Thursday, this time to the lounge so I can order the Banana’s Foster which you can only get when you dine-in (not the bar). I started at the bar, ordered a Smoked Old Fashion and again a Shrimp Cocktail to kill time while I shifted to the lounge area. I skipped lunch on purpose so at the lounge I started with the Yellow Fin Tuna Ceviche, I must say, it was alright, I expected more flavor out of this, missing perhaps the citrus flavors, normally ceviche is very moist and this wasn’t. Then had the soup of the day, Tomato Bisque and holy crap, this soup was absolutely yummy!!! For dinner I ordered the Grilled Pork Chop (2 bone-in chops) with Chimichurri sauce on the side, the sauce was outstanding! The pork chop was delicious but, in my opinion and for my pallet, I found it didn’t mix well with the Herb Fingerling Potatoes, Asparagus, and Roasted Apple Bacon Compote. I was only looking for the grilled flavor of the pork chops and I found it was overpowered but the other aforementioned ingredients. Simple is king in my opinion. I think some coleslaw, garlic mash, or baked potato would suffice. Dessert time and this wasn’t an experience in itself. Oscar brought the mobile stove and fired that bad boy up to cook the bananas and flame it out! Desert was good but it was more the experience for me!

Final note, there are wonderful people in this World. I met Mr. & Mrs. Torres who treated me to an Old Fashioned drink thanking me for my service in the Marine Corps. He shared he lost his Brother (my Marine Brother) and we connected at the moment and tears came out! This is what you call life!!! I send my love to the Torres Family!

The people are wonderful, the restaurant is super elegant and beautiful!!! I can’t wait to go back.

Oh yeah, the two chocolates, absolutely delicious and rich!

The pros are beyond the cons… remember it’s a steakhouse.

This is a Valdi approved joint!!!!

The service was top notch. You are never left needing anything. Attentive and friendly. The food was fantastic. Cream Tomatoes soup was amazing. The filet mignon was perfectly cooked seared on the outside, evenly cooked all the way through, and was so tender a butter knife could cut it. The flavor was so good it needed nothing – even though there were sauces to spice it up like chimichurri (really good). Great atmosphere professional and personable service. I am looking forward to visiting again to find out what they were cooking at the table of another guest that they lit on fire. Quite a show and smelled delicious. Definitely a new favorite.

The restaurant is very speakeasy feelz/vibe. I like the layout and design of the restaurant. I didn’t enjoyed the service. The waiter took an hour to get the order and forgot the drinks. At the end, he gave me the wrong receipt too, good thing I double check. I think the price is little pricy for the quality of the food. The half shell oysters was small, the baked oysters with spinach cream was too much, I couldn’t taste the oysters. The veggies was very bland. No seasoning at all, as if it was just blanched in water and served. The fish was good with the mushroom cream sauce.

A group of us ate here and they put us in a private room which was nice. The service was good yet was done by very young guys. They tried real hard and can only get better every day. The service was a little slow for me but all in all it was a good experience. The appetizers we ordered were very good, shrimp cocktail and crab cakes. We also ordered the table side spinach salad and the Caesar salad was good. Huge selection of wine and we enjoyed a few bottles. I had the 22oz bone in ribeye and it was done perfectly and tasted great, sautéed mushrooms were delicious. My wife ordered the sea bass and loved it. Everyone seemed to enjoy there meals. We will definitely be coming back.

Service 5 out of 5

Ambiance 4 out of 5

Food 3 out of 5

The food looked appealing and appetizing but lacked flavor. We ordered the lobster ravioli appetizer. It had tomato sauce of some sort. But, that was all we tasted. I feel I should be able to taste the lobster.

I also had the lobster bisque which did have a large amount of lobster. However, again the flavor was lacking. It was nowhere near as good as the first time I had it here. All the food was lacking flavor.

My husband felt that the portions were small. He also felt that the food was not as flavorful as it had been the last time we were here.
