A new favorite for us! From the moment we walked in the door it was an amazing evening. Our waitress, Lisa, was so nice, and attentive. We got the spinach artichoke dip with crab for an appetizer. It was absolutely the best spinach artichoke dip we have ever had! I got the large pork chop, and my wife got the small Salmon. Both meals were top notch, but I couldn’t even eat half of mine. Fortunately, Lisa was on top of things and boxed up our leftovers for us. The salad was just perfect; a spring mix with almonds, ginger and a light dressing on it. Perfecto! I was concerned when Lisa said they would bring us a spoonful of dessert after our meal, and they didn’t have large desserts, but honestly, I couldn’t have eaten a large dessert, and the generous “spoonful” was an excellent ending to a delightful evening. To top it all off, Ulysses Long was serenading us to some great songs. Kudos to everyone at Duke’s!!!

My husband and I cant find many places worth going to in Hickory for a nice date night. I was pleasantly surprised by this place! The steak was actually good (which is hard to find), the atmosphere was great, and the service was perfect. We loved the guy singing on the piano! We will definitely be back

We had been wanting to try Duke’s for a while and went last night. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing, and we won’t be back. The food was so salty it was inedible. We started out with the crab and artichoke dip with tortilla chips. The dip was more of a fondue than a dip and was very salty, and the homemade chips would have been good but were smothered in seasoning to the point we tried to wipe each chip off. I got the blackened swordfish and soft shell crab special. The swordfish tasted like it had been salt brined and it was so salty I couldn’t eat it. The brussels on the plate were also very salty. Only thing edible on the plate were the mashed potatoes and soft shell crab. He got the tenderloin which was okay but the veggies were again too salty to eat. Best thing we ate here was the complimentary dessert spoon. My husband loves salty food and salts every thing he eats, so if he says it is too salty, then something is wrong. Again, wanted to love it but it was a big disappointment.

Came here to listen to 2 price band. Guitar and harmonica player. They were very entertaining. Great voices, great harmony. Had crab cakes and Elk chops. Both absolutely delicious. Bartender Josh was outstanding. This is a very mice restaurant. A little pricey but definitely worth every penny.

Duke’s Restaurant and Wine Bar gets five stars all the way around. The live music perfectly complemented the decor and the atmosphere. The staff were very friendly helpful and informative. And the food!! OMG was heavenly. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. I had the Angus beef tenderloin, it was so tender it basically melted in my mouth. It was a great way to finish off my Birthday. Definitely looking forward to my next visit

She kept filling my water, even with a new cup but it kept having dust or towel particles in it. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to be drinking lint, towel particles or dust.
Anyway, I think that made her feel awkward the rest of the experience. Food was delicious and our waitress was a great waitress.

Amazing food, and service. And I loved being serenaded on my birthday. Had the Tomahawk Steak with potatoes and mixed vegetables. With the salad. The steak was very tender and flavor was amazing!!!

I’ve had some disappointing meals in my life, but this restaurant set a new bar! The salad was so terrible that it felt like I should’ve been paid to eat it and honestly, I practically had to be. Limp greens, strange flavors, and a texture I’m still trying to forget.
As if that wasn’t enough, the finale was even worse. After paying for my meal( yes, I paid for that experience), they refused to let me take my own food home. I’ve never had a restaurant deny me a takeout box for something I paid for. Completely unacceptable.
Between the awful food and the bewildering service, I can’t recommend this place to anyone. Save your money… and your taste buds!

I came here with a work group of nine people. We were early enough that we had the place to ourselves. Regardless, a nine top is hard to manage. I ordered a Spanish Mule which was a Moscow Mule with tequila rather than vodka. It was perfectly balanced. We had a plethora of appetizers around the table to include escargot, spinach and artichoke dip, triple dip, and more. All were fabulous. I ordered the small portion of the Elk Chop, medium rare which came with a salad, sweet potatoes and Brussels sprouts. Everything was perfect! I couldn’t even finish the small. Then all our meals came with a dessert spoon – tres leches which was pretty acceptable this far north!
