I finally got to try Dukes right in the heart of downtownSt. Charles. The look of the Northwoods, lots of log like paneling, is a bit lost with all of the big screen tv’s and other wall decor. I had the pork tenderloin sandwich. Besides being good, it’s Huge ! It’s bigger around than a basketball. The fries were good, but not real hot. My wife had the broiled walleye which was ok, pretty good. We sat at the bar and the service was good, very attentive. We will go back.

Searched this place out for the breaded pork tenderloin sandwich, we were not disappointed! They accommodated us even though we didn’t have a reservation, place was packed. The place was decorated well, nice vibe when you enter. We started out with the bbq wings and tater tots, Wings were cooked perfectly, and were really good. The breaded pork sandwich was huge! We asked to share it , and thanks to the cook for serving it so we each had our own bun. The breading was delicious, super crunchy and great flavor. Onion soup was good. Our server was attentive and welcoming! We will visit again soon!

The front main part of the restaurant is all high tops & the GAMES are BLASTING as loud as possible – so need to go into this experience with that in mind.
The back room is a bit more TAMED on the games sound & there is seating which isn’t high tops.
I didn’t get a photo of the fries – they don’t look special BUT something about them ….. once you try one ….. you can’t STOP !
They’ve NAILED Northwoods & Packers as 1 in our party grew up living Northwoods & Packers – he’s was gleaming ear to ear when he walked in having found his “place”

A. The food is great.
We were in the area and stopped for a bite to eat. I guess most of the food would be considered bar food. But it was good bar food! We had Fish and Chips (I chose tater tots) with salad and a Dukes Smash Burger with house cut fries. Both were exactly what we were hoping for. The cook did a great job making our food and the waitress was so nice! Yay all the way around! I’m glad we stopped here for a late lunch.

By far the best pork tenderloin I have had in years…possibly ever. Happy hour prices were good! Kyle our waiter was great! Fun Northwoods atmosphere and as a Packer Fan in Bear country I appreciated the nod to the Packers.

It’s your Wisconsin tavern in St Charles. Always a great selection of beer to get you going. Smash burgers are the best in town. They keep a good staff that is friendly and quick. Has a cozy winter atmosphere for the Holidays but also great backroom with roll-up doors to enjoy the river and summer breeze.

Great bar in downtown St. Charles. First time visiting. The grilled chicken sandwich with bacon, lettuce and tomato was amazing. It was perfectly cooked. The cheese curds were delicious. Nice selection of draft beers. The Bell’s Oberon raspberry wheat ale was very good.
Will definitely be visiting the next time I am in the area.

Stopped in for lunch. Had the smash burger with fingerling potatoes, French onion soup, and Brat bites. Absolutely blown away. Everything was perfect. The service was attentive, and friendly. Cocktails and beer list was great. I’m definitely coming back here. It really was just a great experience.
