The place was quite quiet on a Sunday evening. The pub is not new by any means but cool atmosphere and awesome fish & chips. The batter was light and everything was fresh and tasted nicely. Friendly staff, good price, good beer and cider!

The Duke has been around for decades and hasn’t succumbed to the drollness of the Silicon valley blueprint for bars these days. Which is a good thing! So many pubs and bars are filled with a dozen huge TVs, super loud annoying music, and sacrifice originality in chase of the next coolest trend. “Not that there’s anything wrong with that”. But the Duke remains true to its roots. Imagine stepping into a page from a Sherlock Holmes chapter. Its cozy, low-lit ambiance is welcoming. They pour Guinness or Smithicks from a tap. And for the IPA fans, they have Space Dust. You can throw steel tip darts. And after you’ve worked up an appetite order bangers and mash or fish and chips. It’s truly a gem in the land of silicon, and I hope they never change!
