Dugan’s pub is a traditional Irish Pub that has been operating in the quaint, Village of Pinehurst, North Carolina since 1998. With favorites like fish and chips, Guinness stew and bangers and mash our menu is one for the books. Traditional Irish favorites with pub favorites mixed in for the perfect menu for adults, kids and everyone in between. The Irish Pub has been rooted for just over 28 years in the same 1890s building it started in, with countless improvements from the new owners and upgrades that make it feel fresh and new. Our staff is some of the best around, you’ll find friendly faces and knowledgeable servers and bartenders that will make your visit unforgettable and most likely return to them all week/weekend!

I always have such an amazing time here! I came to have lunch and a drink to kick back during the late afternoon, and the atmosphere is very laid back and relaxing. I had the Dougans burger and mozzarella sticks! So yummy! The food is absolutely amazing and our server Xayda is absolutely fantastic in every way possible! She is very attentive and pays attention to details and goes out of her way to make sure the experience is everything it should and can be and more! She is very well educated when it comes to both drinks and food on the menu. She makes some killer awesome tasty drinks!! Not to mention the playlist she had playing had superb music which really just pulled the whole experience together even more. Xayda is the best!!

Quaint pub, not quite the Irish pub experience though. Music was rock not traditional Irish.
Service was excellent, Charlie and Scarlett took good care of us along with their wee Leprechaun helper.
The cheesy bacon fries could have used more of each, but were very tasty. I got the fish and chips, although the chips was really any side and since we had fries as appetizer, I got the vegetable medley of broccoli and peppers. They said they were in garlic butter sauce, but were neither buttery nor garlicky, at least they were fresh. Cooked tender so if you like a little tooth to your veg, don’t expect it. The fish was tasty, but the batter could have been a little crisper. The three pieces together were about the size of a single fish in Pittsburgh, but we do things differently there. Pimento cheese burger was met with great gusto. The crab cakes were said to be good too.
Owner should consider making the bathrooms unisex as they were single user and only the ladies room has any accessibility accommodations.
There was a $7ish upcharge for paying with CC.

Worst service ever. We came in and sat at the bar. Had a big festive positive smile and attitude, as we were excited to he there. However, after 10 minutes went by, then a few more went by, the bartender never once acknowledged us.
Not a simple hello, no eye contact, not even a ” hey guys, I’ll be with you as soon as I can”. It was like we were invisible. We finally left and took our business elsewhere. I’ll definitely not spend my money here..

The food is good, service is ok, not super friendly. We have been here many times and it takes like 45 minutes to get your food out every time. If you are in a hurry, don’t chose Dugans Pub, because they are on their own time frame and customer service is NOT really their thing. The food is good, so its 50/50.

Food prices are upper mid level. Had a Bud Light and a Buffalo chicken with fries. Price was around $20. Food is good, the best part is their in house ranch dressing (5 star).
Best time to go are the weekends with live music. As someone that has worked with bands, the stage has plenty of space. The only downside is walking equipment downstairs.
The crowds can get large which slows service time down. If you want food, get there before 8/9pm when the events start. Average wait time at the bar during music is around 8 to 10 minutes. Wait time during day is about 1-2 minutes.

The menu said buffalo chicken salad for $18+. After looking at the bill, they added $7 for chicken. $25+ for a grilled chicken salad…The menu said you could add protein to any salad. But the salad I ordered was a buffalo chicken salad. It didn’t say “would you like to add chicken to your buffalo chicken salad”. It was tasty. Not $25+ tasty.

Great Irish pub atmosphere. Super fun staff. Great service. Food was made fresh, which was very tasty. If you’re looking to feel as if you’re in Dublin this is not the place. Everything is kinda Irishy-American. With mild visits to Irish beers and food. If you’re looking for a super cozy place to have good drinks and great food. Then make your way here. You won’t be disappointed.
