Duffy’s Love Shack completely surprised us. The location initially threw us off since it’s in the middle of a strip mall, but once you’re inside, the vibe totally changes.
The atmosphere is relaxed and casual — more of a “sit wherever and a server will come to you” setup rather than traditional host seating. The music was fun, the energy was lively, and it felt like a great place to unwind.
The food was delicious, but the drinks were the real standout. I ordered the Mango Tango, and it was amazing — refreshing, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Drink prices were very reasonable, and you can also purchase a souvenir cup.
If you order the Shark Hurricane, be ready for a show — fog machines go off and a mechanical shark comes out of the wall. It’s served goblet-style with multiple straws, making it perfect to share (or enjoy solo).
We ordered the Caribbean PuPu Platter, which is great if you want to try a bit of everything. But the must-order dish was the fish and chips — insanely buttery and crispy at the same time. Truly a 10/10.
Overall, such a fun experience and we’ll definitely be making this a staple casual dinner spot on future trips.

This is a fun spot to grab a drink or a quick bite. While our dinner was just okay, the live band and the great people-watching made for an enjoyable evening. We returned another night for dessert and thoroughly enjoyed the s’mores! The presentation was really fun! We ended up making friends and chatting with others about it.

We had such a great experience at Duffys! Great service, great atmosphere, great food in the most unlikely of places, a parking lot in a strip mall.
We were traveling on a cruise and had a parasailing day at Sapphire beach (also highly recommend). When we were done, we asked someone where we could go to go shopping and get some food, at first she told us just go back the cruise shops. We then mentioned we’d really like some conch fritters, she then immediately came back with, “Duffy’s! Go to Duffy’s”
So we take a taxi from Saphire Beach to Duffys ($6 per person) and we stop in the parking lot in the strip mall. We are looking all over the strip mall and cannot find this restaurant and then we turn around and see this little shack in this already small parking lot, but don’t let that deter you, really it just positively adds to the experience.
They have menus that are on small pieces of bamboo that can double as a fan(fun). The atmosphere is just what you’d want from an island bar and grill. There was great local art and chickens literally walking around.
Prices were reasonable, not cheap, but for island prices really not bad. Drink prices, great! You can get a shot and get to keep the shot glass for less than a shot glass at the neighboring gift shop. Also, we like to collect logo’d bar cups and these came with our beverages.
We got the “Caribbean PuPu platter”. It came out in sections with the most delicious fried foods and to top it off a little mini grill to grill our pineapple on. This was my favorite, little thing. I cant say enough great things about all of the little things.
The staff was EXCELLENT! Andy took such great care of us with a smile on his face and thew in a few jokes here and there.
Duffy’s also had shirts at a great price with what also seems to be reprints of local art, we loved these shirts and were able to secure 4 of them for less than the neighboring stores and it was just a reminder of what a great time we had there.
Thank you Andy and the rest of the staff for such a memorable experience. If we are ever in St. Thomas again, this will be the first place we stop!

We had a great experience at Duffy’s. The grouper was so tasty and a huge portion, and I even had some to take back to my cats at the resort. The music was great and our server was very friendly and attentive. It was pretty empty (Tuesday afternoon in September) so there was plenty of seating. The breeze was awesome; the chickens/roosters were entertaining; and our kids will be thrilled with the souvenir cups we bring home!

Such an easy 5 star review to leave! We loved Duffy’s so much we went back several nights in a row. The bartenders here definitely deserve a lot of credit for making it a fun place to enjoy, especially Finn!! Really good drinks and great music too. Special shoutouts to Bryce and Finn for making us want to come back night after night to enjoy our vacation!! If there was a tattoo place open nearby the odds that my friend and I would have left St. Thomas with “I ❤️ Duffy’s” tattoos would have been high.

This place never disappoints. I have never had a bad time here. But I am writing this review because the last time was especially special. The food was delicious! I cannot recommend that jerk chicken sandwich enough. I even was able to share it because it wasn’t spicy. Great job. But Stephanie our server was incredible. She went above and beyond and really made this an experience to remember.
