Damn, I love getting my egg sandwich from here, but today was not it. I’ve had a few issues in the past, but this one was the last straw. I ordered two egg and cheese sandwiches. While eating the first one, after about six bites, I suddenly felt a crunch. I thought maybe it was the toasted bread or the edge of the egg—but nope, it was a big piece of eggshell in the sandwich.
If it were a tiny piece, I could overlook it, but this was a large chunk. Even after the bite I took, there was still more shell left in the sandwich. That’s disappointing and shows the cooks aren’t paying attention.

Snotty people work here my husband ordered a double cheeseburger and got a regular, but he certainly paid for the double my hotdog bun was all soggy. They put so much mustard. There was more mustard than there was a hotdog on my hotdog ridiculous. Cold food too been sitting all day probably yuck never again I’m so pissed! Good food is all about the workers if you got a bunch of lazy no good for nothing workers. The food is not gonna come out good but when you make food with your heart and soul in it, it always comes out good. This place went downhill used to be good when I was a kid

Duchess Restaurant has very, very long waits at the drive-thru, especially during peak hours. The freshness of the bread can be hit or miss, and it’s definitely not quite up to the standards it once had. That said, the food is still consistently good, and when everything is fresh, it reminds you why Duchess has been a local favorite for so long.

Manager was good, service was good getting the food out however the 2 Big D with cheese combos were dry as if it was idling before we ordered causing the burger to be very dry no juiciness, the fries were great timely served hot.
Soft drinks were properly carbonated with an array of flavors to choose from.
The rest rooms were clean also the dining room table’s were very clean.
We hope the burger’s are juicy at our next visit.

The food was much better not over cooked ,Big D cheeseburger were juicy also fries and onion rings crisy.
Cashier was pre occupied on her cellphone ear buds, no bathroom soap or lobby hand sanitizer.

I ordered a meal. I asked for extra lemon and I did not even got the one that was to come with the meal. Then got bread always get butter and did not get butter. The salad was old, it was weird color, a brown color. The salad looked like it was mixed with another salad but old looking. I have never had such old and food missing. I did not see it till I got home. .

Don’t get me wrong the food is good. The price doesn’t justify it. This is how companies fall. They think they have the secret sauce, but it isnt what its set out to be. Literally paid $3.67 for onion rings which was 5/6 medium size rings… see pic… shame..

I had a double-burger and it was good. I had never been to a Duchess before so I didn’t know what to expect. I always enjoy trying new places, so I was hoping for that WOW factor, and unfortunately, it missed that mark. The burger was ok. The bun on the burger is really good and portions were excellent. The fries were kind of dry and flavorless. The onion rings were ok. The employees and service was good. Nothing extra, but nothing negative either. I probably wouldn’t choose to go there again if I’m being honest.

Although I’m not a long-time supporter of Duchess, I can honestly say that they’ve been consistently good for the past couple of years that I’ve been frequenting there. I’ve had the breakfast sandwiches, one of their Chef salads, a mango smoothie, and on a few other occasions, I’ve enjoyed the meatloaf dinner. I’ve also tried their burgers. This time, however, I went for the patty melt (and a good chocolate shake) it was absolutely delicious! it came with some bacon on it. Love that they have decent parking. They also have a drive through even though the wait… Maybe it’s always kind of long because everything is prepared fresh. At any rate, the only reason I didn’t give the patty melt a “5 All Day” is because it wasn’t quite as good as the one I had at Merritt Canteen. Veal Parmesan was tasty. Obviously, the sauce was not homemade, long-simmered quality but it was good and the size was right. Thoroughly enjoyed the Italian Wedding Soup! It was my first time trying that type of soup.

This drive-thru visit I ordered it over six double burger Big D with curly fries and onion rings, I received a single cheeseburger that looks like it got ran over by a truck with some plastic looking cheese.
My last visit 2 months ago outer the grilled chicken Cobb salad. I received a quarter of a chicken breast smaller than a single hamburger. Patty and a bowl full of lettuce with an egg and about a tablespoon of bacon bits. He used to be a whole chicken breast and the equivalent to like three slices of bacon.
I’m done, I will spend my money at Tomlinson’s up the street. I recommend you do the same.
