January the 29th my wife and I stopped in for the burger we missed out the last day date we had and has been a while since we visited here staff was great with great normal conversations taking place with a cold beverage with a juicy orange . Fries were crisp, fluffy on the inside (for a skinny fry) and just what I was in the mood for burger was great and glad we can add to their ongoing 3mil+ burgers sold. Pickles were also really tasty

Inside was neat lots of cool wall decor to look at. Our group of 4 had some burgers, fries, cheese curds and chicken. The burgers were mid not very seasoned. Fries hot and fresh. Chicken also not super flavorful. Cheese curds were greasy and lacking the main thing cheese! It was a little over $80 and didn’t feel it was worth the cost.

Dubuque Mining Company is located in Kennedy Mall. Service was prompt and friendly. Evidently they specialize in a gourmet hamburger, which I did not try, I had read rave reviews about the tenderloin, which was very good, not excellent, but very good. Nice thickness and perfectly fried, just not much flavor. I cut it in half and will have enough for lunch tomorrow. I substituted creamy cole slaw for the fries. It was excellent. I ordered an Arnold Palmer (half lemonade and half ice tea). It was served in a quart canning jar. It was great and I was given a to go cup, because I couldn’t finish it. I enjoyed lunch and will stop back to try the hamburger. I felt my meal was reasonably priced, at $18. plus change and a tip.

We visited the Minimg Company on a busy Friday night around 6:00 pm. Despite the crowd, we managed to find a table quickly in their seat-yourself setup. My wife enjoyed their signature drink, the Cave, served in a quart mason jar, which was as delicious as ever. I stuck with water.
For dinner, I ordered the pork tenderloin and fries, while my wife opted for their famous burger. Her burger was juicy and cooked to perfection. My tenderloin was slightly overcooked, but I prefer that to it being underdone.
Overall, we had a pleasant meal. The total came to a reasonable $37, including the drink. We’ll definitely be back!

We really enjoyed this place! Loved their big tall pops. They have Pepsi products. Friendly staff. We had the grilled pork chop sandwich and fries. It was very good. Nice size portions. Also lots of fun cocktails

Took my 89 year old mother & daughter here for lunch on Tuesday for Veterans day. My daughter & I ordered the combination. My mother ordered a burger with Swiss cheese & green olives she said she’d order it again and would love to go back there to eat again. Burgers came with shoestring fries. Everything was cooked to perfection! Wait staff was great. Decorations are old and interesting.

Food has declined quite a bit over the past few years. Not the best quality of food. However, if you are looking for good drinks, their Cave-Ins are amazing. Best alcoholic drink in Dubuque hands down. Staff is hit or miss depending on when you go.

Great food, clean restaurant. Everyone was helping each other out, don’t see that the often today. Only complaint was it took a very long time to get food, place wasn’t that busy. Waitresses were working hard and not overwhelmed, anther thing that you don’t see today. I think there kitchen is a little small for the restaurant size, did have a sign looking for kitchen help..Portions were good, burger could have been a bit bigger for size of bun. But with the amount of fries it was plentiful. Tasted fresh, drink were large and plenty of refills..
