My boyfriend took me here for my birthday dinner last weekend and this place was amazing! We highly recommend trying this restaurant out. The hot stone was such a unique and fun idea. The quality and taste of the steaks were amazing! We had Aaron as our server, he was so knowledgeable, kind, and very attentive. We did not get the name of the hostess that night but she was amazing as well, so polite, she helped up with parking and gave us a really nice booth to sit in. The dessert was great as well! Overall, the entire experience was excellent. One of my favorites to date!

We had a satisfying meal at DT Prime.
The appetizers were good, and while the soup was a bit sweet for French Onion, it was nicely topped with bubbling cheese and crisp croutons and the (unpictured) scallops were topped with a saving mango salsa yet were a wee bit undercooked and heavily coated in OB seasoning.
The main courses were all a hit, cooked perfectly and mostly plated prettily. The deserts were scrumptious yet visually bland, though I’ll always take flavor over flair. Still, for the weighty price of the flavors, the flair should pair and it simply did not.
The server was polite yet impersonal and quick to leave the table after a rushed question for service. We were checked on quite a few times but it just wasn’t done with grace or true service. There are some nice seating arrangements and there are some less visually appealing options, and sadly we were place in the latter. Staring at a florescent light in a bleak side room where bread is rising is not exactly what one pictures when browsing a top dollar menu, yet it is a part of one of the three rooms in service. I kindly suggest a nice screen, some plants, something, anything rather than bread racks and vinegar as decor.
All in all we were very pleased with the food and wish to return. I hope for a more authentic server and a covered up prep room no longer part of what would otherwise be an upscale dining experience.

Salmon maple bacon dish w sweet potatoes and asparagus was absolutely delicious, wish had few more pieces of asparagus. Service was great didn’t have reservation but they got us seated and took care of a group of 5. 4-5 guys where happy with their meals and preparation that went into making our dinner. Highly recommend getting reservations and checking it out

Absolutely fantastic! We brag about DT Prime all the time to everyone we know! It is so good and unlike any other steak restaurant we have ever been to… even out of state and vacation restaurants! This is in our Top 3 Best Steaks and restaurants we have ever been to! We are big foodies and love a good steak… we LOVE this restaurant! It’s so good! We can’t recommend it enough! I even made a video about it on my social media to encourage our friends to go! It’s seriously amazing! ♥️

This is a fantastic steakhouse as well as a unique experience. It was a lot of fun “cooking” our steaks on the stone. A bit of a novelty, and we likely won’t do it again, but it definitely made the evening memorable. Service was very good as you would expect, and the price was steep (also, as you would expect), but worth it to celebrate our special occasion.

This is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. We came out for my birthday. We ordered drinks at the bar before dinner. They have a great selection of Bourbons. After seated, we watched them make our bread, which was delicious. We ordered Lolipop Lamb Chops for our appetizer. Amazing ! My husband ordered the Cowboy Ribeye and cooked it on their meat stones. It was pretty cool, and he said it was great. I ordered the chicken with mushroom risotto and parmesan asparagus as an extra side. Just delicious. I’m super hard to satisfy or think a meal is better than just “ok”. Well, this was great. I had no complaints at all. Best birthday meal ever.

We love coming to Charleston and try different restaurants. This is one of the best in town. From the super nice lady making us a reservation to the fantastic server we had. Food is a mix of amazing flavors and perfectly cooked. Highly recommended.

Absolutely amazing! From start to finish, everything was superb! The hostess was the nicest and friendliest woman, our server Aaron was knowledgeable, efficient, and just on it! The food was wow! We started with the beef rolls and they literally melt in your mouth. I ordered the 10oz filet with the stone to cook it on, such a great interactive experience. The steak was like butter and that ponzu sauce is delicious. Seriously worth the money. I will definitely be going back.

When looking for a nice quality meal and a more sophisticated atmosphere than your basic restaurant, DT Prime is the place go in Charleston, West Virginia. Steaks are cooked to perfection, I had a true medium rare that was delicious. For a unique experience, you can order your steak on a stone where you complete the cooking process yourself, this allows you to prepare it the way you want it. (Do not worry – when you choose your type they will prepare your steak perfectly without you finishing the process on the stone, it is just a special option that can be fun!) We will definitely be going back again!

Highly enjoyed my steak on a stone. It is more than just a meal it is an experience. As a fast eater, grilling each bite myself forced me to slow down and enjoy my meal. The bartender was also very knowledgeable. I spend a lot of time in Louisville KY and I still thought they had an impressive bourbon selection. The warm bread was a also a delight.
