After seeing all the Facebook posts we decided to take the 35 minute drive from Leland to try this restaurant!!! It was worth every minute. Some of the best Italian food and pizza I have had since moving to NC. And the service was great.

Most pizza around here is for transients, and not much good. I’ve ordered pizza several times from D’s and it’s always been great. Ordered carryout on this busy Friday night, they said 20 minutes and it was waiting for me ready to go when I got there. Small supreme was loaded with toppings, baked perfect. Wife got D’s Italiano on gluten free pasta, also excellent. A bit spendy, but if you want a good pizza or Italian, go here. Most other pizza joints around here’re not much better than the cheapest ones in the store freezer section.

Great place for good Italian. The ONLY change I would make involves one of my my calzone toppings: instead of using “fine ground” sausage, chunk or sliced sausage would be much better with texture and taste. The ground up sausage gets “lost” in the ingredients and I would’ve chosen another option if I had known. Everything else was excellent.

Upon my arrival I was greeted by my waitress and service from start to finish was great. I ordered the calamari (dinner menu appetizer) and the Italian sub. My calamari was a bit chewy to my liking but was tasty with the sauces. The Italian sub was huge, flavorful, and the fries were so crunchy on the outside but soft in the inside. I will be returning to try different items on the menu (maybe even dessert).

Food was delicious. The meatballs were very good and the D’s Italiano pasta had a pesto sauce that was to die for. Ended with a pistachio cake that was heavenly. And the owner was extremely friendly!

The service and atmosphere were good. I ordered Fettuccine Alfredo and it was super cheesy and the noodles were hardly cooked. I mentioned it and they offered to remake the plate. When I got the new plate they had used linguine not fettuccine and the sauce was almost completely oil. The noodles were still hard and it made me sick to my stomach. If you’re craving Italian food I would suggest looking at other restaurants.

A nice little Italian restaurant in a strip mall. All of the pastas and pizza are made by hand in house.
I opted for the spaghetti carbonara which was excellent. The homemade spaghetti was nice and thin which I liked and the sauce was tasty with plenty of bacon in it.
My wife got a custom pizza which was good. It was fun watching them hand toss the dough and place the pizza in the big oven.
