I was excited to visit the new location in Edwardsville. I met my friend there last Friday evening, I arrived around 530 pm. My friend was already seated at the bar, which wasn’t busy. I was immediately greeted by the bartender with a menu. As we browsed the menu, I noticed things began to pick up, and the bartender looked to be moving slowly. We sat for a while before he came back to take our orders. He first asked for the drink order, which he took a while to make two mixed cocktails. He delivered the drinks but didn’t ask if we were ready to order food, so it took at least 20 mins or more of sitting and waiting before we could place the food order. I believe he was new because he seemed lost at what to do and was moving slowly. There was a snag with my order, but it was soon corrected by a different person because he seemed lost on what to do with the order taking on the register. I also observed the bartender with a white towel that he used to wipe sweat from his face and also was sitting the towel down on surfaces behind the bar. I watched to see if he would use the towel to wipe anything else, but I didn’t catch that if he did. Overall, my food was delicious, but the service was lacking.

Lives up to the reputation of the Drunken Fish. Great food, good service. I’d eat here again for sure.

I was very disappointed with my experience. For a place saying they are the best sushi in St. Louis I expected a LOT better. My group tried the drunken fish roll, spicy butterfly roll, and the starburst roll. Flavors were seriously lacking. Could barely taste the shrimp or crab, overall it tasted very very plain. If only it tasted as good as it looked! The only thing that did taste good was the lobster spring roll appetizer, but the amount we got for paying $17 was not worth it.

One of my favorite locations already! Service and food were on point, and so quick!

Food is excellent! Our second trip much better than the first. First trip we never received our food. Got it this time in under 30 minutes. A little confused about the ripped seats in the booths since it’s a brand new build. Very good overall!

We’ve gone 3 different times. Once opening weekend and 2 other times after that.

The food was delicious and all the staff were so friendly and considerate. I’d love to see some deals, like daily specials and happy hour. It could help attract a greater crowd and help Drunken Fish stay competitive with other sushi places in town.

We tried this place this evening. Way over priced for what you get. We got two CHICKEN spring rolls with no CHICKEN in them. The waitress kept bringing us refills on our drinks and never once told us it was not free refills. The food was just not that great. We said something to our waitress and all we got was a sorry and disregarded. Would rather go next door to Kimchi so much better. Beautiful building though.

Restaurant was very nice! My waitress was fantastic. Sushi was a little bland, definitely not worth the price. I also don’t really like the soy sauce they use. Otherwise, good experience.

Food quality and price is misaligned. Roll was overpowered by cream cheese, thin slice of meat – should have been an $8 roll. Upcharge for sauce. Server kept rushing us to order.
