Seven of us went to Drummonds for lunch and ordered the seafood baskets. The fish and shrimp were excellent and the natural cut fries were good. I don’t normally eat onion rings, but I tried these, and they were the best I have had.

Today my husband and I ate lunch at Drummonds Restaurant on highway 301 south. Mack ordered a Ribeye steak. The steak was almost 50 percent fat. I know ribeye steaks have fat, but this one was excessive. The waitress asked how our meal was. Mack told her the steak had a good taste but was excessively fat. She said she was sorry. He told her to take the fat to the kitchen and show it to the cook. He paid the $29.99 for the steak. FYI……………

I’m not sure anyone has tried Drummonds Meats. But, I bought some brisket, ribs and pulled pork yesterday. Hands down, the best Bbq I have had in the Florence area.
-Their brisket is the best I’ve had this side of Texas!
-Their bbq isn’t as good as they make it in Tennessee. But, it’s a lot better than any place I’ve eaten in our area. (Same style, but, it isn’t overwhelmed by VINEGAR!)
-Their ribs are hands down the BEST around here. The portion size of a full rack is huge and meaty back ribs. They are cooked dry rub style and perfectly smoked. The only fault I found was the rub is pretty spicy. (But, very flavorful)

The food is home-cooked and delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive. The owner also stopped by to check on us. Couldn’t ask for better service. The wait can be a little long, but it was worth it.

Don’t sleep on this place! We went for the first time tonight for dinner. Ordered the pizza with a side of chili cheese fries. The food was awesome! Pizza is some of the best I’ve ever had. We will be back. P.S. Don’t forget to buy some snack sticks while you’re there. They are great as well.
