Reviews
Staff interactions aside, the food was good. Chicken is definitely on the hotter side, I was glad I went the safe route and got medium spice for my 1st visit, enjoyable but spicy. Fries were good as well, crispy and seasoned well.
I think my review wouldve been much higher if the dude just acknowledged there was a discrepancy on the menu and they just haven’t had a chance to change it yet. May or may not return, which is unfortunate because I frequent that area in my travels.
Door handle is very very dirty, they changed the bread for the toast. It is now a different long thin shaped bread that you can not use to “taco” your tender and eat it. Almost had to just eat the bread separately from the tender but i ended up getting the hang of it. Not a soul in sight. The new kiosk menu will not read your chip properly (i went with friends and it did the same thing with 3 different cards). They most recently switched to small cups only and no free refills
I really do love this place and am a regular and have been a regular for the past 2 years. At this time i will stop coming to eat here. I really hope they get it together because it is the only nashville hot chicken spot in the valley that has a veggie option for chicken.
Before I begin, they offer two sauces:
Drippin sauce, which is cheesy and Dippin sauce, which is sweet and tart like 1000 Island.
We arrived, first customers of the day, and it is obvious that the owners/operators are NOT restaurant people. There are “flow” issues inside, there are not enough garbage cans, and they do not wipe down the tables or clean the soda machine.
I would suggest To Go orders.
I ordered a 3-piece with fries Medium hot, nothing too extravagant, and kept it simple. The chicken was juicy and cooked good, and the fries were crispy-ish.
The chicken has a batter type coating that is BBQ dry-rub mixed with Chili Powerd for heat and Paprika, too. I believe it is also gluten-free, although I can not say for sure.
The fries were also sprinkled with the BBQ rub after cooking, which was a surpirse.
The uninspired Mac and Cheese was a letdown. The pasta was overboiled, and the cheese sauce was badly watered down. I added the Drippin sauce to my Mac n Cheese, and it was way better.
The service was excellent, very friendly and professional.
Atmosphere would have been great but unfortunately the music of choice playing in dining area was gangster rap.. ok for adults but inappropriate for a family. The menu was not specific on what included in meal/plate. When asking they cashier didn’t seem to know either. I did research IG to see images of food B4 ordering as they are no images on menu… The was no reference on spice level of wings either. I like medium spice but level 3 had no spice.. it was tasty just not spicy. Overall, I would return but only for takeout.
There was absolutely no customers in the store.
