I had the Pineapple Don Key and my sister had the Salty Sunrise, and both were delicious! I loved that each drink came with a little garnish — my drink had a slice of lime and a tiny flower, and my sister’s had a slice of lemon with a flower. Such a cute, thoughtful touch!
Everything about this spot made our afternoon feel special — we’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great drinks, a fun pūpū, and a welcoming atmosphere!
My family and I were staying in Poipu when the tsunami evacuation was issued. Seeking higher ground, we joined a long line of cars heading up the hill and found ourselves at Warehouse 3540 and Drift Kauai. Looking back, I truly believe there was no better place we — along with 100+ other travelers from around the world — could have ended up on the entire island.
Around 4:00 PM, just three hours before the anticipated first wave, most of the shops and food trucks at Warehouse 3540 understandably closed for the night. But Drift Kauai stayed open — offering not just food and drinks, but also shelter, restrooms, water, and a genuine sense of calm and care.
Their entire family worked tirelessly for the next 7+ hours, serving incredible food and drinks until they quite literally ran out of everything. In the midst of a tense and uncertain situation, they did their best to keep us informed and make sure everyone was cared for — restocking bathrooms, making sure we had what we needed, and maintaining a warm, welcoming environment throughout the night.
With nowhere else to go, we enjoyed great food and drink, played games, found cover from the rain squalls, and even caught a surprise performance from a traveling trapeze troupe who were sheltering with us.
What could have been a frightening and stressful night became a truly memorable experience and a highlight of our trip — thanks to their kindness and generosity. Their hospitality was extraordinary, and we will always be grateful. Mahalo!
Have a question just ask!
10/10. Highly recommend.
