As a regular at Drift Bar in Prospect, I’ve seen a lot of good nights — but Derby season is about to hit different.
Thrilled to share that I will be bringing that unmistakable Kentucky soul to Drift Bar for special appearances across Kentucky Derby dates. If you know, you know — this is the kind of venue that turns a good bourbon into a religious experience.

Drift Bar is an absolute perfect bar and place, and I wasn’t expecting to love it as much as I did; my wife and I had the perfect evening there. The bartenders were friendly and attentive, and even though it was busy, it never felt crowded; there were plenty of seats and a relaxed vibe. The drinks were well-priced and strong, and the views of the Ohio River were incredible. There’s something about the atmosphere that makes it feel almost like being on vacation; everyone is laid-back and enjoying themselves, unlike a lot of bars that feels like everyone is forcing themselves to enjoy themselves, here it was just natural. The food was outstanding too; definitely don’t miss the tacos and ceviche. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we can’t wait to go back. As a note; it’s only open April-November

The view is one of the best in the city of the Ohio River. The people seem to be regulars. No one is a stranger. Troy served us up a gin and lemonade and pina with a floater. I love this place!

Great place to have some drinks and enjoy the view. They have a live band many times. But the view and breeze and everything else. Just a good time. Food is OK. So have a few more drinks and it gets better. Real good bartenders!
