Good experience overall. We got full slap, half chicken, sausage stadium nachos. Chicken was little bit dry, ribs not as tender. Nachos were really good

After years of wanting to try this place I finally did. It was somewhat of a disappointment. I had the pulled pork sandwich, the pork was excellent The bun however was so old and hard I couldn’t even bite into it The guy that made the sandwich had to have known it. I did ask for a new bun and that was fine. The slaw with it was good. My grandson had wings and fries the wings were just okay and the fries were great. We also ordered a boneless rib tip quesadilla which came out full of 2 in long rib bones The meat was in an odd tasting sweet sauce and didn’t taste barbecue smoke at all I would rate that as very poor. The service was okay I had to ask our server three times for sweet and low, I finally saw it behind the bar and got it myself No mention from him when he walked to the table and saw it, after he finally got off his cell phone. This was a first and last visit for us.

Stopped in for dinner and wow. I ordered the bbq sandwich with Mac and Cheese, both were full of flavor. The Dreamland sauce set the bbq over the top, so much so, I had to get 2 jars to take home with me. Next time in, I will try the ribs, which I’m sure are also good.

Dreamland BBQ is a good place with tasty food. The staff was really nice and we didn’t have to wait too long. They provided a high chair for the baby. The restaurant looks old and has not much room but clean and delicious food. I recommend half chicken, delicious coleslaw, baked beans, sausage, and ribs.

Dreamland sauce is the godfather of all barbecue sauces. I love getting warm sauce and white bread right when you sit down, the way chips and salsa are served in Mexican restaurants. The Southside location is such a cool place and I loved the charisma of the staff. Don’t worry about what meat to order. As long as it’s smothered in sauce it will be good.

We went on slow day so was nice experience. Love you can smell the smokey flavor in air soon as you step into the place. Service was fast and friendly. The bbq not the sweet so be prepared for that. Interesting decoration nothing fancy but different. Portions were good size. Good sweet tea which is a must have for BBQ. Definitely worth a try for something different if your in the area.

Fried green tomatoes were so tasty. The half slab of ribs were more than enough for 1 person. Tender and tasty. The BBQ sauce is tangy and flavorful. A little bit of heat to give a bonus kick. Highly recommend making this a stop on your journey.

Couple from Florida recommended so I expected more… Ribs didn’t have much flavor as i am accustomed to. I didn’t like the sauce at all. Mac and cheese too dry but taste ok. Banana pudding was light and fluffy. I enjoyed ambiance of the place but was not impressed by the food.

We ate here on our way down to Florida last week and the overall experience was excellent! The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was fantastic, and the location can’t be beat if you are staying downtown Birmingham. In addition to the excellent ribs that have become famous all over the South, would also recommend ordering the fried okra and the fried green tomatoes. If you are looking for some good BBQ ribs in a great location, you have to try this place!
