My husband and I had a light dinner of charbroiled oysters and Fleur De Lis Shrimp, some cocktails and bread pudding. It was all delicious. That said, our favorites were the charbroiled oysters and the shrimp. The oysters were perfectly cooked and came with a butter sauce that I thought about drinking on its own (ok, I’m not proud of that. Please don’t tell anyone). The Fleur De Lis Shrimp was also perfectly cooked and seasoned. Our server was attentive and the atmosphere was upscale and comfortable. We’ll definitely be back to have these dishes again.

Had a great experience at Drago’s in New Orleans. The food was good overall, and the tacos were especially great. Drinks were solid, and the service was attentive and friendly.

There was a hair in my food, but the situation was handled quickly and professionally. They replaced my dish right away and apologized, which I really appreciated.

Mayra was fantastic and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. Because of the way everything was handled, I’d definitely return.

We had dinner here quite a few times during our stay. Paul behind the bar…awesome! Scott was also a huge gold star. We kept coming back for the charbroiled oysters. They are #1 in my book. The shrimp and grits were spot on. Also… the bread pudding. Secret perfect ending to a darn good meal. We had an excellent visit each time, but the last was the best. These guys know what there doing.

This is the third time this year I followed a social media foodie’s advice and was disappointed. The oysters were chargrilled but there was hardly any oyster to taste. The bread was good and fluffy. The best meal was the chicken tenders from the child menu for my child. The seafood pasta was good. We enjoyed the atmosphere. There was not live jazz. We thoroughly enjoyed strolling the river to the venue.

The chargrilled oysters were wonderfully seasoned, with rich butter, high heat, and garlic softened to a perfect melt. Half a dozen disappeared in seconds. The lobster pasta was also beautifully done. The noodles were cooked to a soft, comforting texture and blended with a savory sauce that lingered on the tongue. The portion was generous. The alligator taco was more average. Although many people recommend it, the alligator meat had a spongy, chicken-like texture that was not very appealing. The dessert, however, was astonishing. It felt like something meant for four people. Even with two of us working on it for ten minutes, the peak remained untouched. Beneath a mountain of whipped cream were cold scoops of ice cream and a warm brownie, a combination that kept the textures changing with every bite. A lovely experience overall.

I highly recommend the charbroiled oysters. It has a smoky, buttery, savory flavor profile that is way more delicious than I expected it to be. The customer experience expert, Darren sold us on the oysters and I am so glad he did. The atmosphere of this location is mixed in with the hustle and bustle of the Hilton hotels shared space so it doesn’t feel as uniquely intimate as I would have liked. But still if you’re in the area is a must try.

Just STELLAR food. Charbroiled oysters are a must. Gator tacos are phenomenal. Sweet potato fries hit. Absolutely amazing seafood.

The restaurant does get really busy, so the service is mid. It is an upscale restaurant though, so it is a nice environment for dinner.

Would definitely come back!

One of my favorite places to go when I come to New Orleans. The food is fantastic especially the shrimp and grits, grilled cheese sandwich with crab meat and you have to get their famous charbroiled oysters. Everything I tasted was divine and flavorful!

Special thanks to my amazing server, Daaren, who was so kind, prompt, personable and gave me some great recommendations to try off of the menu. He is truly a gem! Keep up the great work and thank you for your fantastic service!!
