I think it was a blackened chicken, It was good. The potato i tasted. like potatoes, nothing to brag about. It was some of the most dry crumbly cornbread I have ever eaten. Someone should teach them to put maybe a little bit of sour cream and cheese in it. My husband had the oysters and the tacos. He likes the drago in new orleans oysters. He didn’t care for the one they opened, in lafayette. He said these were somewheres in between the two. That’s strange, because I would think franchise have the same taste. Shrimp tacos he said were good. By my rating scale, I can only go by what I ate. They open up for new year’s eve.Even though it’s a day, they wasn’t usually open. They do have a happy hour. The pricing wasn’t bad. They do have a buffet. I think it’s $68, she said ♀️. The buffet does have lobster, she said. Nobody in my group got the buffet. So I can’t really comment on it.

9/11/2025: I celebrated my birthday with family and friends at Drago’s. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the service was great. The restaurant offers a sea food buffet for $65.00. We all opted for ordering off the menu instead. The inside is decorated nicely. I would definitely eat here again. It was my best restaurant experience of the 4 nights and 5 days I stayed at L’Auberge. The fried shrimp was delicious, the gumbo was great, and the lobster (according to my aunt) was good. They even had a lady who came to our table to help with the deshelling of the lobster. Great place for celebrating and special occasions.

Well I paid 65$ for a seafood buffet. And what we got was ,some back of the restaurant food. Snow crabs are prepared for you but the line is not a real buffet. It more like a dinner for you and at 65 I’m thinking the best. I did eat enough food for my tab. But please don’t call it a buffet. It’s really not unless you only want crab. But because I enjoyed my food I won’t talk down. But please call it a dinner brunch. I really wish they could bring back the original buffet.

Our waiter Luke was a breath of fresh air. He was honest and helpful without being too much. The food was amazing. We got a dozen raw oysters for an appetizer and Maine Lobster with new potatoes for the entree. The manager came by and checked on us. There was little to no wait. Great place

Drago’s – Lake Charles (New Year’s Day 2026 Buffet )
My wife and I visited Drago’s on New Year’s Day and opted for the holiday buffet, which was $49.99 per person (normally $19.99). We appreciated being allowed to view the buffet beforehand. The added items included prime rib, baked ham, chicken breast, salmon, fish, clams, and cold shrimp.
The breakfast items were solid—egg white omelet, bacon, breakfast potatoes, black-eyed peas, cabbage, and salmon were all good. The salad was fine as well.
Unfortunately, the featured holiday items did not meet expectations. The prime rib was served medium-well instead of rare/medium-rare, was not at proper temperature, dry, and very chewy. Steak knives were also not provided, despite prime rib and ham being on the menu, and the server had to “see if she could find one.”
Additionally, while we briefly went to the buffet, our table was completely cleared with no indication that we were finished. Although the staff apologized and resolved it, it added to the overall experience.
Given the price point, the added buffet items and service details did not justify the cost. While some items were good, I would not return for a holiday or specialty buffet at this price. I hope this feedback helps improve future special offerings.

Juley, Tony, and our server Ms. Stacey set us up real good! Crab legs were AMAZING. Great customer service. We don’t gamble but Draco’s makes a trip to the casino worth while. ♥️

Came here the first time.Tried the cucumber/lime tap beer.It tastes, more like a cider .Husband hate it said too sour like drinking vinegar. He ordered the shrimp platter. The plate was piled up with fries, way too many.I ordered the shucker duckee. The duck leg was cooked ok still juicy but with not much flavor. The pasta came with it was too cheesy .Not sure because the food was too oily or dirty the oyster? abdominal pain within 2 hours of eating and went straight to restroom.

My husband and I went there as first timers. The hostess that seated us was very friendly but what really impressed me about them was they way they handled a difficult customer table that wanted a specific table only to request to be moved two more times after accommodating them graciously. I made a point to get their names for their professionalism as I think these two ladies deserve recognition for a job very well done!! Their names were Gracie and Rylynn.
As far as the food goes, it was good but not great. It looked amazing but definitely fell short on flavor.
My husband and I shared the stuffed lobster. To be honest the sauce on the stuffing tasted like it was straight out of a can with a touch of seasoning added to it. It wasn’t very good.
The wedge salad was the same- it looked delicious but had very little taste to speak of.
Because we live in Lake Charles, there is no convince factor we need to look at when visiting The GN. My husband and I have no desire to return to this restaurant.
