I really am quite confused at all the negative reviews. Yesterday I had sweet-and-sour chicken with pork fried rice and it was absolutely fabulous. The sweet-and-sour chicken was cooked to perfection and the pork fried rice was tender and had excellent taste. I am sad that they are closing on Sundays as this is my favorite day for Chinese but I will simply change my day to Saturday because this place is an excellent place to go for Chinese. The atmosphere was so so and the service was just slightly above average but the food is well worth waiting for. It is easy to give five stars for that as it was all perfect. Perhaps my only criticism is that attention should be paid to little things like napkins on the table and a clean table and chairs to sit at. There were no napkins in the napkin dispensers and the table and chairs had to be wiped off before I could sit in them but those are just a little things.

I actually love this place for Chinese food that’s got American influenced egg rolls. It’s common to experience a small mistake like missing an egg roll or a bigger mistake like the wrong order all together, but you don’t get billed for that, it’s just an honest mistake. They seem very busy. All in all…worth it.

I started working in Neptune about 5 months ago and I’ve been looking for a good take out Chinese restaurant; we don’t really have one near our home. I’ve picked up food from Dragon Garden 6 or 7 times now and it’s been very good every time. We especially love their garlic sauce. The chicken is always tender, never rubbery or slimy like in some places we’ve tried. Food is always prepared quickly and still plenty hot when I get it home. Good customer service too. I recommend it.

The food was horrible. I ordered a house fried rice, shrimp and broccoli and chicken broccoli with Garlic sauce. The broccoli was so over cooked it was mushy. They also use cheap garlic and they just put a ton of it. The rice did not have any flavor it was just bland, even the white rice did not taste good how is that possible. It took over 1hour 15 minutes to get my food. I don’t mind waiting on a weekend but it was not worth the wait nor the $30.00.

I ordered mixed vegetables in garlic sauce $9.00 and when I got home I found I had a container of 95% broccoli. I called the restaurant to advise them and they told me to bring it back – I was already home (20 min away) . I told her I was far away and could not come back until another day – she HUNG UP ON ME. When I called back she would not answer the phone (I guess she saw my caller ID). I called back from my cell which does not have caller ID and she picked up the call on the second ring. Mistakes happen BUT a good restaurant handles them properly and fairly. I would give them a zero if it were possible.

I don’t understand the low reviews. This is one of the best tasting Chinese restaurants within 30 miles. Eggfoo young tasty and not greasy. Sauces not over starched and nice flavor. Lo Mein and rice are excellent with extra egg. Been there 4 times this year and it is consistently good. Egg rolls not greasy and flavorful. I’ve labored through so many bad ones on the shore and this is the winner. BTW, I’ve had lots of great Chinese food from China towns in San Francisco, new York Boston, and Toronto, this place is not that, but it would rate ok comparably.

Beyond the worst Chinese food I’ve ever eaten. Who thought anyplace could be worse than China One? When you f-up chicken and broccoli you know you’re in trouble. Who uses a beef stock in wonton soup? The pepper steak was no better, don’t know what low cost grissle meat it was but it was not edible. Maybe the steak from Dollartree?

Refused to make my soup fresh. When I told her I was allergic to mushrooms in hot n sour soup she told me to get something else. I get the egg drop n it was like a gel. I’ve never had such terrible soup in my life. The ladies were rude to the customers, but the men were nice. Only eat there if no other place is open.
