I also ordered the fried egg rolls and they were definitely a house-made variety, nice and crispy with abundant filling.
I particularly found the pork egg fu yung freshly fried and tasty covered with a satisfying gravy.
This appears to be a multi-generational family restaurant as there were babies, young kids, 30 somethings and elderly all hanging out off the clock mid afternoon on a weekday. It was lovely to see a thriving establishment with a family working together.
Note on parking: I was asked to move my vehicle twice. I had parked backed up close to the building along the curb. I was warned that sometimes people drift through the gravel parking area and vehicles have been hit. I stayed put and took my chances. There were no deterrent signs posted. If you don’t want people parking at the curb, please post signage or paint instructions on the building.
We came in on a Sunday, there was one other couple there the entire time so it’s safe to say it was not busy. We ordered the family meal and asked for no peas and carrots in the rice, I could tell by the expression of the waiter that he was not thrilled about our special order. The food came and the rice was disgusting, smelled of nasty feet. I only took a couple of bites but hubby has no sense period and ate quit a bit. By the time we got home we were litteral fountains expelling from both ends. Days went by and we didn’t feel much better so hubby went to the Dr. and diagnosed with H. Pylori which is a bacteria spread through contanimated food and hard to get rid of. Both my husband and I were fine when we walked into this restaurant and had nothing but cereal and toast hours before. I believe that the woman who cooked our meal was angry due to already having rice made due to it being slow and she did something to our special ordered rice as retaliation. Nonetheless, we most certainly did get very ill from eating there that afternoon and weeks later just starting to feel better. The older couple who used to run this place would be mortified to know how their kids are treating their customers, shame on you!
Give it a try and see if you like it.
UPDATE***

I returned and tried out the beef curry and the beef was extremely chewy and fatty. Great tasting curry, but the beef is too low of quality. Don’t eat the beef! Stick with chicken.
The beef curry is not in the photos as I drove back to return it for the almond chicken. They were polite and made the new dish free of charge!
