Loved my first visit to Doyle’s after a show at a comedy club near by. We ordered their Shepherd’s Pie and the Bangers and Mash and the items did not disappoint. The Shepherd’s pie had some tarty flavor but not too bad. I devoured my bangers and mash – flavorful yummy and fresh. Their Guinness was amazing and their Irish whisky too. They had locals in here for a fun trivia night. I love that this place is open till late and the vibe is awesome.
Service was fantastic and i will look forward to visiting when in the area. Highly recommend.

The Cajun menu was an incredible surprise. The head chef is from Louisiana and is a magician with Cajun flavors. I ordered the Crawfish Étouffée – Crawfish smothered in a spicy tomato cream sauce with steamed rice. Wow! This is a limited time menu, so visit soon.
Doyle’s Public House is a great pub full of interesting people, friendly servers and great beers on tap. I can’t wait to go back.

You can tell Doyles Public House has been seasoned with pepper, whiskey and handsome working men. The ambiance was friendly and warm like a grandfather’s library, in a motion picture movie. Once smoked in deep oak and cigar or tobacco, it has the weathered look without the smell. It has the football champion team scarves and cool signage, ads, and old bottles of Jameson. We ordered a soft pretzel that came with a little thing of cheese and some stoneground mustard, which was delightful. What was most to my delight about Doyles was their smooth, non-bitter, beautifully poured with yummy foam on top, Guinness. Our bar maid was awesome and delivered me all different designs. A fancy thing I had never seen before. It was quite fun. I was fresh in Tacoma and feel like this was a perfect meeting spot for my local(ish) friend and I to meet up. I’m glad she recommended it, and I certainly hope to go back.

Our group of 15 had the best experience at Doyle’s Public House! We had reserved the private Snug Room in the back and it was perfect for us old friends to visit and reconnect . The food was the best! Bangers and mash, Irish stew, yummy fresh salads and my favorite the potato won tons. Super fresh Guinness, nice wine choices and they even made me a craft cocktail to order that was delicious. Our server Trevor was so accommodating and friendly to us all. We can’t wait to go back to this Tacoma gem!

An excellent find in Tacoma, I will definitely be back. The food was excellent, there are many classic items on the menu, and some non-traditional Irish fare as well. Guinness on tap, of course, and a fun atmosphere.

Found this online & not sorry we stopped. We would stop again.
We had been traveling ALL day to celebrate (Vancouver, WA to Vancouver, B.C.) & I really wanted something that wasn’t fast food, but not fancy schmancy either. Went in w/ a large appetite but never made it to an entree.
I ordered Tot-chos (86’d the meat) & my partner had Banger Poutine. These were underneath the ‘Steadying Snacks’ Category.
I wanted to do the grilled cheese & bisque, but I was so full. Had 2 local-ish IPAs (can’t recall the name, but from PDX). Tasty.
The staff was super kind. The bartender brought me 3 different hot sauces. Found a new fav in the process. Try the Murder Hornet Honey Bourbon if you like a kick where you can taste the flavors.
I didn’t have bday cake all day, so we took some bread pudding & a giant cookie to go.
The bread pudding was delicious (warm, gooey, sugary).
I am from Louisiana & had not had any in a while.
Learned that a cook there is also from Louisiana & for March they do an entire southern menu.
Bathrooms, bar, & dining all appeared to be clean! Parked across the street easily. There is a small parking lot as well for patrons, if I recall correctly. Either way, shouldn’t be too hard to get close-ish.
Place probably gets busy, we were there right around 9pm on a Monday night. Very calm .

The food is absolutely amazing. The breakfast options are so good and have some unique options. Same as the lunch and dinner menu. Also this place knows how to properly pour a Guinness.

I love this place. The atmosphere is great, and the staff are friendly. That would be enough — but you should go for the food. It is such great pub food.

Had a beautiful, delicious soft pretzel out on the back patio. The atmosphere was great and there was plenty of space for my dog and me. The bartender even brought out a bucket of water for my little pup!

We looked online for a likely place for early dinner before going to the Temple Theater and Doyle’s seemed to fit the bill. When we arrived it was very busy but a couple of seats at the bar opened up almost immediately and shortly after a table which we quickly moved too. The staff are all very nice and welcoming. The drinks came very quickly and the food was close behind. Everything we ate and drank was excellent. We felt there was lots of choice from the kitchen and the bar. The pub has a very nice relaxed feel to it even when busy. The staff really make the difference and set the tone. After the concert we returned for decaf coffee and desert. Again the service was exceptional and our deserts generous and delicious. Our coffee cups were kept full too. If our first visit is anything to go by we highly recommend Doyle’s for a relaxing and tasty experience.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day.
