The restaurant has sufficient space inside and there was little to no wait on a Friday night. It’s located down the street, a couple blocks away from Pike Place Market.

The food is good and what I expected from Dough Zone. The price is on the cheaper end but still tastes good. It’s consistent with another location that I’ve gone to.

I did find it weird the menu did not list the prices of the items. Overall, you can’t wrong with this place if you’re in the area late at night looking for somewhere to eat.

Came here out of convenience since Pike Place was closed, and honestly wasn’t very impressed. The aesthetic of the place and food looks good but I felt that the food itself was just decent. We ordered the sesame romaine lettuce salad (one friend doesnt like cucumbers, and another doest like kale), pan fried potstickers, chili wontons, xlb, dan dan noodles, and beef stew noodle soup. Maybe because I’ve tried other places that specialize in these dishes, I felt like the dishes were quite bland and lacked flavor. I was a bit disappointed by the noodles as it just seemed like ramen noodles for both the dan dan and beef stew. I was expecting the noodles to taste more fresh but it was a little soggy. If I’m being honest the salad was my favorite. The lettuce tasted fresh and the sesame dressing paired well with each crunchy bite. What really made us scratch our heads was that we had been seated at a (5 seat) table, but 15 mins later one of the servers asked us to sit at a smaller table (4 seats) because there happened to be a party of 5 that just came in. We wouldnt have minded if this was at the beginning, but we had already been seated with water, ordered, and started snacking. Maybe this day was a bad day, but me and my friends would not come back again.

A delightful and soothing place right at the intersection of the harbor steps and the Seattle waterfront, a lovely symbol of the ongoing revitalization of the waterfront region in downtown Seattle. There is a lot of great Chinese food in Seattle, but relatively little of it is directly downtown, so it was quite lovely to see this place that offers very savory and sumptuous fare for a very reasonable price by Seattle standards. I have a very close Chinese friend and if she ever comes to visit me, I will make sure to take her to this place. After entering the sophisticated yet not pretentious restaurant, I sat down and ordered a milk tea and some steamed pork dumplings, both of which were delightful. The milk tea was large and sweet, the perfect contrast to the dumplings. I am not sure I would call this place exceptional by the standards of Chinese restaurants, as it doesn’t really have a special flair to it, but it is solid and reliable and located in a promising place here in downtown Seattle. There is very little to complain about, aside maybe from how I felt like the staff were rushing me a little while I was eating. These are minor nitpicks, and I would absolutely go here again if I am in the area and feel a desire for some delicious dumplings. The harbor steps region feels so elegant and picturesque, a true testament to Seattle’s effort to revitalize public space, and this is one of many very delicious restaurants that have taken advantage of that newly revitalized space.

Tried this place after searching for something to eat while visiting Seattle. The food was great. We tried the pork and crab soup dumplings and they were fantastic. We also tried the Dan Dan noodles and they were very good. We did go on a busy night so the service was not the best. And not to mention it was very noisy. The noise settled as the night went on but again service was not as attentive. Would still visit again! I think it was just an off night.

Decent food, fast service and nice staff. The dumplings didn’t have much flavor and the shrimp had water gushing out of them when you bit into them. Almost as if frozen shrimp were used and not thawed out. The cucumber salad was very nice, but a huge portion for only 2 people. The beef bao was the highlight from a flavour profile, though it was quite sad looking compared to most bao buns. Great flavour, but presentation looked worse than a cheap fast food burger. Overall it was fine, but I probably wouldn’t go back as there are a lot of places in Seattle to try.

The dumplings and spicy cucumber should not be missed! The service is great too. We tried Dan Dan noodles too but really didn’t like the numbing sensation on the tongue. The chicken steamed dumplings were a little dry to our liking. All in all must try place.

-Pork Wontons in Chicken Soup $7.90- this dish came out first. It was hot, the right temperature.

Service:
Subpar. I brought my niece here for lunch. Her dish, pork wontons in chicken soup, was the first one to arrive at the table. The rest of our orders took 10min; they were left unattended before serving to us.
Also, the first time my party and I were here, I had shared with them how much I enjoyed having crushed ginger as one of the ingredients in my dipping sauce. This time around, ginger was not present. Our waiter completely forgot to give us some. I knew something was off but didn’t figure out until we had finished our meal.

My experience this time around was below average : (

Saw this place was recommended on the Eater List and we randomly passed it and decided to stop in. To our surprise for Seattle the dishes were reasonably priced. We ordered take out and ate outside. The dishes were smaller in size. We ordered Szechuan noodles and potstickers. We were disappointed in the meal. We though the food was way too doughy, maybe that’s how they got their name?? The food was nothing special to rave about and we didn’t finish our meal.

The food was DELICIOUS! I was a little confused with how things worked, as it was our first time here. The host was super helpful, he helped us when some items were missing and then 86d. I think the host ended up being our server, but I am unclear about that. We ordered more than shown here and everything was lovely. The food options were excellent and well executed. Highly recommend this place. The soup I had made my tongue numb, which sparked my memories of being in Shanghai.
