Tried this Chinese spot in San Jose and honestly, pretty solid overall. The Dan Dan noodles were chewy, flavorful, and the sauce hit that perfect balance not too salty, not too heavy. Portion size is definitely on the smaller side, but the price matches it, so it’s not too bad. Plus, it gives you an excuse to order a few more dishes to mix things up (and actually leave full).
Also had the vegetarian spicy ma la noodles and those were fire spice level right on point. Enough kick to wake you up, not enough to ruin your day.
Potstickers had great filling but could use a bit more crunch; they were a little too soft and greasy. Same with the green onion pancake flavor’s there, but it could’ve used that extra crisp factor. Probably just me being picky about textures though.
Overall, tasty food, solid spice, and a nice variety of dishes to try. Great spot if you want legit noodles and don’t mind ordering a little extra to round out the meal.

Highly recommend Dough Zone! Great atmosphere and ambiance, lovely staff, fast service, and delicious food. In my opinion, taste is about as good as Din Tai Fung, but half the price and no wait. Brought a large group of friends over and they were so accommodating and kind (moving tables around, letting us stay a bit later, etc.) – and we only spent about $25 each, and we got a LOT of food. Will definitely be returning! The only thing is that the service isn’t great in-store, and wifi is sometimes harder to connect to. Favorites are the pork xiaolongbao and dandan noodles.

Efficient restaurant with solid execution of classics like the soup dumplings. A couple long tables for various group sizes to all sit together – so no need to worry if you’re dining alone. Ordering is done online by scanning a QR code at the table. I didn’t have great cell service inside the restaurant but you can connect to their WiFi.

Absolutely love this place. You order via QR code, and the food comes out super quick. We usually order a few things a time share them, and end up sampling a bit of the whole menu. Everything is delicious.

Not crowded on a Thursday evening at lunch time. Food comes out fast. Prices are low but portions are also on the smaller side

Dough zone is a nice little find behind Cupertino Main St., though part of a larger chain. It has a nice ambiance and while not being a large venue has decent wait times, with the option to join the wait-list via Yelp.
The food is pretty tasty with a nice variety of dumplings and pot stickers. My favorites are the pan-fried pork dumplings and sweet and sour cucumber.
The only downsides here are the phone menu ordering in a building with bad reception and weak WiFi. It’s taken me 10 minutes sometimes to get the page to load and be able to start placing orders. The staff is fairly attentive, but maybe due to the digital ordering system it feels like something is maybe missing from the sit down experience.
Overall a good find and we’ve visited a few times already, also the pricing is really good. I fed a family of 6 without holding back and we all left full for under $200. There’s something that can’t be understated about leaving with both a happy stomach and a happy wallet!

Modern chic dumpling and noodle restaurant. Good selection of classic Chinese dishes. Order through QR code app. WIFi assistance would have appreciated. Dishes came out quickly. Good crunch on Kale salad. Wait staff helpful and friendly.

My family and I visited Dough Zone on a Friday afternoon around 1 PM. Since it was a weekday, it wasn’t too busy, creating a relaxed vibe for our lunch. We ordered all three lunch specials (A, B, and C), which included drinks, and we all got the ube drink. We also added a ramen dish to share. Ordering via the QR code on the table was quick and easy, and the food arrived fast. The dumplings in the lunch specials were juicy and flavorful, perfect for satisfying our dumpling craving. The ube drinks were a fun, refreshing touch. However, the ramen was mediocre, lacking the bold flavors we hoped for compared to the dumplings. The service was efficient, and the atmosphere was cozy and casual, great for a family meal. The lunch specials were reasonably priced for the portion sizes, but don’t expect a high-end experience. Overall, Dough Zone is a decent spot if you’re in the mood for dumplings. I’d give it 3.5/5 stars and would return for the dumplings and lunch specials, though I’d skip the ramen next time.

This is the worst version of pandemic food ordering: 4 wifi networks, none of which match the name of the network and password on the wall. Bad cellular signal (two phones: 4g and 5g). Still couldn’t get the Wi-Fi to work. Fortunately was able to fall back to xfinity wifi…
Food was fine, but no attention from the wait staff (even when we were briefly the only ones there at lunch time), e.g. no water refill offered. Also initially brought a different tables order to ours (not an issue, but just one more thing…).
Place should move elsewhere (I think the whole row of restaurants has network issue), get cell repeaters, or do a different ordering approach.

The prices here are very reasonable for a dumpling house. They served my beer with a chipped glass. You order online and they serve you but you cant cash out online, only with your wairess. The staff brought the food but no one checked on us until i flagged one of them down for my check
The food itself was middle of the road. The dumplings popped easy and soup got everywhere. The potstickers had added batter that waffled out from the potstickers ( see photo) but were fresh and delicious.
I may go back because the prices were good but honestly there are much better dumpling spots.
