Today I had the opportunity to sample about 90% of the restaurants menu. As the food came out in waves I sampled the shredded potato salad, the cucumber salad, as well as both the egg drop and hot & sour soups. All were top notch. Then came the dumplings… pan fried and steamed, we tried them all. A few notable mentions were the vegetable, the beef and scallion, and the pork and pickled cabbage. My favorite however was the pork/shrimp/eggs/and chives, Served in delicious chili oil. I also ordered a Boba tea from the included kungfu tea. The drink was also great. Thank you for the amazing opportunity and I look forward to returning again.

First visit and I can’t wait to go back.
Delicious and fresh dumplings, soup and cucumber salad.
The staff were kind and helpful.
Gave us egg drop soup to try. I had ordered hot and sour. Great flavor, mildly spicy. Silky broth.
Tried the pork and pickled cabbage pan fried. So good!

We got the braised beef and cucumber salad for the appetizers then the beef and cilantro and pork and chives for the dumplings. Everything there was above and beyond expectations! The cucumber salad was crunchy, savory, and perfectly refreshing. The braised beef was tender with just the right amount of seasoning/not too salty.
Now to the dumplings. We got them both pan fried (personally, I think that’s the best way to go). Both types of dumplings were juicy and the wrappers had the right amount of thickness to make it slighty chewy and to hold any added sauces. Which the sauces deserve praise on their own as well. Their signature dumpling sauce was the classic tangy vinegar soy sauce mix pairs perfectly with their chili oil.
Their service is fantastic. Everyone there is so kind and attentive (though I’m sure it helped that we went after all the students were gone for the holidays). We for sure will be coming back again and again to try everything they have to offer!

This place is 20/10 We drove out all the way from Howell to fill my dumpling craving and it EXCEEDED my expectations! The staff is so warm and friendly and dumplings are made fresh to order. I highly recommend the shrimp and beef in chilli sauce, we had them steamed and they were amazing! We will be trying them deep fried next time. We plan on coming here at least once a month but hopefully more!

I’m so glad I found this place inside of the kung fu tea. They hand make the dumplings to order and so far everything I have tried has been delicious. The staff is super friendly. Definitely highly recommend we have come back so many times it had become my favorite spot.

Our first time here. Tried several different kinds but all were so good. Also loved the cucumber salad. Best egg drop soup I’ve ever had. Will definitely be back. Staff very attentive and friendly.

Delicious dumplings! We got beef & scallion pan-fried, and chicken & mushroom steamed. Both were very tasty and flavorful, and the pan-fried had a nice crisp and were so juicy! We also got the cucumber salad (tangy and spicy and crispy and slightly sweet – all of the flavors) and the tomato & egg soup (warm and savory and comforting, which was perfect for a Michigan winter evening). They also brought us a complimentary plate of the potato stir fry side, which had a nice szechuan spice and fresh cilantro. Cant wait to come back and try some more!

P.S. Kung Fu Tea is in the same space, and a bubble tea goes perfectly with the delicious dumplings

Visited Dough Square for the first time tonight and everything was delicious! Ordered steamed pork and chive dumplings, pan fried pork and shrimp dumplings, and cucumber salad with mild spice. My favorite was definitely the pan fried dumplings but everything was good. Very friendly staff and everything is fresh made to order. Only downside is parking is a little limited but it’s worth it for the food! I’ll be back soon to try more.

Delicious dumplings! We got pan-fried, and I’m looking forward to going back and trying the steamed, as well as some of the different fillings. We got the classic pork and cabbage, and tried the pork with pickled cabbage, too. Both were tasty. They’re larger than soup dumplings I’ve had in the past, and very filling! We couldn’t finish them all.

We also tried the wood ear mushroom salad, and that was delicious, as well! It was well-seasoned with cilantro, garlic, and vinegar. If you haven’t had them before, the mushrooms are thin and a little springy.

Because it shares the space with Kung Fu Tea, you can get a bubble tea to go with your food.

They’re very new, so there was a bit of a wait. It’s fine, we weren’t in a rush. I think they’re still getting the workflow down. Everyone was so nice, and the food was great. I’ll definitely be back!

Edit: We went back, and if anything it was even better than before! I’m adding more pictures. The egg drop soup with tomatoes is especially wonderful, and the cucumber salad is addictive!
I think I would recommend getting the dumplings pan-fried. They seemed to hold onto more of the juice inside, and I personally love the crunch.
