My husband and I were in from out of town and looked forward to something local. Picked this restaurant based on the good reviews. The decor is modern and very charming. We didn’t know there was more of a sports bar atmosphere in the back of the restaurant. Since this was a Sunday Brunch, we would have preferred that side but were seated in the dining area up front. The idea of set up is sound, but like our meals it didn’t hit the mark. For starters, the black fabric napkins and table cloths had a lot of hair lingering, which I found to be quite the turn off. I wanted to try something different than I can normally order and chose the Rasberry poppers burger. Described as whipped cream cheese, Jalapeno raspberry jam, and crispy pork belly. Our server said this was so popular as a rotating item it was made permanent so I was sure it’d be a hit. My husband chose the prime rib sandwich, no horseradish and add chese. Both picked fries, which endd up being the star of the show, so it was a shame the portions were so small. The burger, had there been cream cheese, I didn’t see it, or taste it. The jam, was underwhelming as it was fighting the seasoning of the burger. It didn’t have any hints of jalapenos. There was mayonnaise on the bottom of the burger, which helped with the dryness. I would’ve preferred a medium well cook, but this was well-done. I wasn’t asked how I wanted it cooked and didn’t think of specifying until we were eating. The prime…also well done, tough, and had fatty chunks. He couldn’t finish it. I tried it, first by just sampling the meat. It was bland and dry. I put it back with the bread and dipped it, but it was so tough it didn’t belong in a sandwich. I was surprised at this point he ate as much as he did. I thought it was odd the meat wasn’t sliced and then after I realized how tough it was, it made no sense that it wasn’t sliced because you couldn’t easily eat it. It took over 30 minutes from when we ordered for this all to come out. We absolutely wouldn’t order these items again. If we were to ever stop in again, we would try the bar side, and not during brunch. So if you go in the front where the dining room is, keep going to the back, or enter the side door for the bar. The women’s restroom was nicely accommodating. I’m never a fan of writing a disheartening review, but my intentions are to be constructive as had I known what to expect, we would’ve made different choices during our experience. The staff was friendly, so I still feel we would try it again, but differently.

Went with a party of 17. Service was exceptional and our waitress was on top of it! The drinks were strong and tasty and the stacked nachos were the best appetizer! The dessert was also delicious. Loved the dark, laid back atmosphere of the place. Prices are so reasonable. First time there and was definitely impressed. Will be back!

Sometimes you have off days. The day we went must have been definitely off. It was a Sunday and they were severing the brunch menu. There were 3 people in my party.
The place was not full from my perspective when we arrived, yet it took 10 minutes to be seated. Our waiter arrived at a reasonable time after, and returned with water shortly after that. We placed an order, and then waited, and waited, and waited. The waiter came once during that time for water refills, and in passing once to let us know the food wouldn’t be much longer.
From the time we ordered, to the time the food came was 43 minutes. We of course talked about the wait time being long, and the manager overheard, came over and apologized explaining the situation being an error in the kitchen. She offered a 25% discount because of the wait which was generous.
The brunch menu was nice with many selections, and the food okay. I didn’t get anything that impressed me (cream cheese burger with raspberry sauce). But my friend got a burrito that had amazing Verde salsa.
The place is beautiful and clean.

We sat at our table just before 6pm. It is currently 7:23 and our appetizers have yet to come out let alone our food. I have informed the staff to please just box it up if it ever gets done. Go anywhere else.

We are out of town from Chicago traveling. We picked this place just out on a whim. My hubby had the burger which he said it was one of the best burgers he had in a long time. My father loved the presentation of the smoked old fashion My hubby had ordered and it was very reasonably price too!! Our server David was on point and very friendly….it was his 3rd day on the job which we would have never known if he didn’t say anything. Very refreshing to see the chef come out too to help serve on the floor greet guests. Menu had a lot to choose from and up scale feeling. Highly recommend

The sports bar itself is great. The cocktails are good. The sever was abysmal. Literally some of the worst service ive had. The Waitress had no idea what they were doing and one was rude as hell. We waited an absurd amount of time for drinks and even more absurd amount of time for our food. Had Truffle fries had no Truffle though the dip was good. The rest of the food was great. The Manager was great in the end and was apologetic and gave free desserts to my family for the loooonnnggg wait.

My ribeye was GOOD! Although my tiny baked potato- hard. My green beans- cold. My husbands food was good but not above and beyond. The atmosphere was awkward and no music played so it was very quiet. We waited 1 hour for our food WITH A RESERVATION. We also reserved it for a birthday and it wasn’t even mentioned. We were gonna get a dessert for the birthday but we wait over 30 min for our server to come back and by that time we were so tired we just got the check and left. I’m surprised on how many good reviews this place has because honestly it wasn’t even that great. But that steak the only thing that was worth it!

We chose Double V’s after several past good experiences with both food and service. We usually come here when we are in Grand Island. Last night we arrived about 30 minutes ahead of our 7:00 p.m. reservation in the dining room. We were greeted promptly and pleasantly by the hostess at the south door. She seated us immediately and our server Kenzi was there soon and took drink orders. The drinks took a while. We watched the bartender who didn’t appear to be very organized or very fast. However, the drinks were very good. We ordered an appetizer from Kenzi who suggested we place a dinner order ahead of the 11 top that was arriving. Appetizer came promptly and we ordered dinner. 45 minutes later our dinner arrived. It was cold. We flagged down Kenzi who asked if we wanted it warmed or wanted a credit. We chose to have it warmed. After all, we came for dinner. After another 15 minute wait the food came back hot. The meal was very good but it shouldn’t have taken an hour after appetizers. We were disappointed in our experience after having a good experience on Valentines Day. Kenzi was appologetic. One bad experience probably will not keep us from coming back.

The food was delicious and exceeded expectations. I’m gluten and dairy free and they had so many gluten free options. There are 2 sides to this establishment. The Victory Sports Bar and Grill and the Valient Restaurant. I ate in the sports bar. The menu was not your average sports bar menu. There was a nice variety of foods and everyone in our party of 6 enjoyed their food.
