I was greeted by a delightful bartender. She suggested the bacon cheese burger . It was made fresh, I could see the kitchen prepare all the food. I have no complaints . The place was very busy but well organized.
The bartender worked like a true professional, slinging orders and checked on my needs as well.

Wow! Very impressed with this place! Super friendly and fast service, even though they were super busy! Amazing milkshakes and amazing food! We had the Buffalo Mac and Cheese, Chili Cheese Dog and Breakfast Dog (and left with “Doggie Bags”!!)

What’s good: I love the idea of this restaurant named after the owners beloved pets and their commitment to supporting their local animal shelters. The food was very good, the chicken Caesar wrap was a perfect modest portion and comes without sides. My husband got a Mac and cheese type meal which he loved. The service was friendly and fast. What not so good: it is so loud in this place that we struggled to carry on a conversation with our friends. There are giant TV’s covering most of the available wall space and I get it, it’s a sports bar but what fun is it if you can’t hear each other? My other pet peeve is the uncomfortable seating which, along with the noise level seems to encourage people to come in, eat and leave quickly, “churning” guests.

Love Double Dogs—one of my favorite spots in BG! Best (and coldest!) draft beer around, and the menu has so many great options. The heated outdoor area is perfect for hanging out with your pups, and the staff is amazing—always so kind to my dogs when we visit. Highly recommend, especially if you’re staying at one of the nearby hotels within walking distance!

Tried Double Dogs, never been to one before (only 9 locations in the TN/KY area). Stopped in for lunch. Walked in and it was definitely a sports bar environment. Seated right away, very friendly waitresses Yes waitresses only, no gents serving any food here-they are in the kitchen cooking. Ordered a tall beer (very cold with frost on the glass). Ordered bow wow wings, honey Chipotle boneless (largest order of boneless we’ve ever had and worth every penny, homemade onion rings (best thing of the day and it was all great) and some Cajun fries (tasty but not spicy, super good). We did not try the Bo’s dog bowl nachos but they looked very good. Waitress was attentive, food was delicious, will definitely go back if we are in the area.

Was recommended to go here from someone I know. I was very disappointed. I tried 3 different flavors of the wings. None of them had a good flavor not to mention did not like the wings itself. Tried the sausage queso it was ok but the sausage was way to thick should have been ground up better. My son loved the BBQ bacon burger my wife loved the cheeseburger. The onion rings was cold and did not taste good at all . Even warm they would have tasted badly. The fries where not good to me but I don’t like shoestring fries . My 2 sons liked them but my wife and I did not. My son had the hotdogs was not a fan of it either my son did not like it as well. I did try a bite of my wife’s cheeseburger I will have to give this a it was really good but everything else was not. very disappointed especially after spending $105. The place however was very clean and nice decor loved the fireplace outside. The bathroom needed a little upgrade not dirty just old looking. The server was friendly and was doing a great job. Up until she brought the food then we never seen her again until we was done. She knew we had never eaten their before but she did not come back and check on Us to see if we liked the food or needed anything else. Again she was very friendly and helpful just wish she would have checked on us to make sure we was satisfied. I would personally not recommend this place for myself but I could see how someone not as picky as me might like it.

The food was phenomenal, the onion rings were the best I’ve ever had, our server Alexandria was exceptional, the casual atmosphere made us feel right at home and the Michelob Ultra was super cold. Overall, I was very impressed with Double Dogs and will go back.

Came in to catch the UK vs. Auburn game to have a couple bites and beers with my partner and we had the best experience in service ever! We were taken very well care of by our server but the GM went out of his way and took care of our food because I had mentioned losing a gift card and dropping it in the building the last time I visited. While our food wasn’t expensive, it was the act of taking care of us that really made a difference. I misplaced my gift card and I was okay with that. However, the GM going out of his way to do this was something I never could have asked for. This man is the perfect example of a great leader and deserves to be recognized everyday he’s in the building. Our experience was already great and we were happy but this is the going above and beyond that those in the industry should strive for. Double Dogs is lucky to have this leader at their BG location.

Love the place, very charming. Food is better than expected. I read some reviews that said service was bad…. I get it. The food was super fast, the people bring out the food were fast and friendly. It’s very clear that the kitchen is managed very well……. However………
The bar tenders suck. They walk around aimlessly not paying attention to anyone. You’re waiting to ask for a drink and they’re just aimlessly wondering around. The contrast is kind of funny. Everyone else is a well oiled machine but the bar tenders sucks. Food was good. Potato soup was best I’ve ever had in my life.

If given other options , I’d pass on this place. It takes great people that want your business for me to want to go back to a place. It was apparent from the time we walked in (45 min before closing ) that they didn’t want us there. They gave us a seat in the bar area and we ordered a drink. We told waitress we didn’t need food but we would appreciate her letting us know before last call. She agreed and told us the time of last call. It took her over 20 min to come back to our table. I told her I was worried because we were approaching the time she told us.
She then told us the bartender decided last call was over.
We had just finished a 5 hour drive and wanted a couple drinks. I guess we chose the wrong place. There was discussion between the bartender and two waitresses and confusion about who was right. Instead of just fixing the problem they changed story and said last call for this place is 30 minutes before close.
Be aware of this if you go.
