We live locally and were excited to try Double Date Italian Kitchen at the Omni in Rancho Mirage. The space is beautiful, with a gorgeous bar that anchors the dining room.
Drinks were well made (including a fun appletini), though the $12 price for a beer felt a bit high. The arugula salad with gorgonzola, dried cherries, and prosecco vinaigrette was excellent.
For dinner, the halibut was very good—slightly overcooked but still flavorful with mushrooms and artichoke hearts. The Jidori chicken and veal chop Milanese were both excellent as well.
Service was great. The dining room was a bit chilly due to doors open for outdoor seating, but overall it was a very enjoyable experience. We’ll definitely be back.

The service here is truly down to a science warm, thoughtful, and incredibly attentive. You genuinely feel well taken care of from the moment you arrive.
On our first day, Alberto went above and beyond by arranging breakfast sandwiches for us that weren’t even on the menu and beautifully packing them to go. It was such a kind and unexpected touch. Later, Cristian delivered excellent dinner service generous portions, perfectly timed check-ins, and never once making us feel rushed or forgotten.
This was some of the best service I’ve ever had at any restaurant. Alberto and Cristian truly made our experience special!

Picture it….Valentine’s evening. After 40 minutes, we were able to order the appetizer and main course (price fix menu). Another 40 minutes pass and we asked when we might get our meal. 15 more minutes pass and we were eating. Watching the folks at the other tables experiencing the same wait. The harpist that was inside and the guitar player that was outside, clashed. Don’t get me wrong, the food was delicious and hot upon arrival, but never received my broccoli side dish. Edgar and Eduardo did a fabulous job and they’re attitudes were good. They did the best they could! I was told that the kitchen staff had to handle food orders from a second restaurant as well, reasoning for the long wait. Fortunately, we weren’t in a hurry and spent the evening chatting, but boy, others were very upset. I hope this gets straightened out because again, the food was perfect!

Delicious! We are three meals in since last night’s arrival at the resort. Tonight we ate outside on the patio, just an absolutely wonderful experience. The staff is attentive and very friendly. Ricardo was our server last night, he’s fantastic!
