Amazing Indian Food, my favorite in the Twin Cities!
They always have quality south Indian dishes that arent found at every Indian restaurant such as Idly.

Another great thing about Dosa South Indian Grill is that they are Open Late! Take out is just as good as dine in too.

Personal favorites: Papadum, Chicken 65, Baingan Aloo, and the Special Paneer Biryani (pictured)

I visited Dosa South Indian Grill and had a great experience. They offer a wide variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, and I’ve always loved their Kari Dosa—this visit was no exception. The food tasted delicious, was served hot, and the portion sizes were generous for the price. The service was quick with very little wait time, and the restaurant wasn’t overly crowded. The ambience was pleasant, making the meal even better. I’d definitely come back again.

We had a wonderful experience here! The biryani was absolutely delicious—full of flavor, perfectly spiced, and very satisfying. The idlis were soft, fluffy, and served fresh, paired with tasty chutneys and sambar.

What really made our visit special was the excellent service. The staff was polite, welcoming, and attentive, making sure we were comfortable and happy with our food. Everything came out on time and with a smile, which always makes a big difference.

Overall, amazing food and genuinely good service. This place truly deserves a visit, and we’ll definitely be coming back!

We have been to this restaurant several times in the last 6 months and every single time it’s incredible. The staff is great and attentive, the food is well-priced ($15 for a big plate of tikka masala and rice), and the flavors are amazing. As a very white midwesterner, the 2 is perfectly spicy for me (for all of you spice lovers, it goes up to 5). You can spend $85 with tip for 3 people and have enough leftovers for 2 more meals still! Especially if you get their signature noodle dishes – that must be 3 lbs of noodles and I am not even joking (and all of them are delicious)! I bet this food would be great as takeout as well as it heats up great the next day.

An absolute must go as it’s one of my favorite Indian spots in the metro area. And open late! The best!

The vijayawada chicken biryani is excellent, felt fresh and authentically. Very generous portion of rice and chicken.

The ghee idly was cold and bland, felt it was frozen and they simply microwaved it, same with chutneys. horrible taste. the chicken momos are also the same, heated up frozen momos. except for biryani, the other items arrived in 5 mins of ordering, obviously it was all heated up and food did not taste good at all.

I went here for the first time on Sunday. I ordered the vinjaywada chicken as somebody said it was great- and it was ! I got medium spice which was good but Next time i would try the light. Huge portion -had leftovers. The garlic naan bread was good and the staff very nice. Restaurant decor very basic.

We ordered a bunch of dishes and were extremely disappointed with the food. My wife couldn’t even finish her portion and immediately started experiencing headaches…
Cannot believe this place is rated a 4.5++….The gobi Manchurian was meh, the mix vegetable curry full of heat from all the chilies (we specifically ordered mild) and the paneer butter masala looked like paneer Tikka masala and oh was it sweet !! (felt like we ordered a dessert instead of an entree)… We aren’t locals and understand we placed a late night order but the food should be of a certain standard if the restaurant is rated so high. I have never left scathing reviews before, but I couldn’t help it tonight…

Five stars on service and atmosphere for exceeding expectations.

Food is excellent. Goat thali is available on Mondays at least. There is an option for chicken or vegetarian as well. This time we got Goat thali, Vijiwada chicken biryani, and a batura. We’ve also had a variety of dosa and other staples like butter chicken and tandoori chicken and despite being more mainstream dishes they were done with their own special flair. This is easily one of the top Indian restaurants in the Twin Cities.
