Have ordered from here a few times have never been disappointed. My wife and I decided to go sit down for dinner. Let me say we where not disappointed. We ordered curry goat, palak paneer and lamb vindaloo. They have a 1- 10 spice level so don’t be afraid of it being too spicy or not spicy enough. Okay now on to my thought everything was delicious I ordered the vindaloo at a 9 spicy and it definitely delivered. It was spicy and flavorful. The goat was tender and cooked wonderfully. Palak paneer is a dish that I could eat everyday, this one was among some of the best I have had. This will be my new Indian spot. The chef here has a master of spice balance. If you aren’t sure give them a shot you won’t be disappointed.

Coming back here after years felt like reuniting with an old favorite—and somehow, it’s just as amazing as I remembered, if not better. The food is consistently excellent, full of rich flavor (I highly recommend the chicken tikka masala), but what really sets this place apart is the staff. They are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and especially kind to students, which makes the entire experience feel warm and personal rather than transactional.
On top of that, it’s refreshing to find an Indian restaurant that genuinely offers gluten-free and dairy-free options—something surprisingly rare—and does so without sacrificing taste or authenticity. All members of my party were able to enjoy amazing, authentic Indian food thanks to Dosa Grill strongly honoring dietary restrictions such as gluten and dairy-free diets.
Whether you’re a longtime fan of Indian cuisine or trying it for the first time, this place delivers on every level. If you’re on the fence about coming here, don’t be. This is the kind of restaurant that earns repeat visits and enthusiastic recommendations.

Loved this place!
Such a great spot for Indian food! The ambience is super cozy and welcoming — perfect for hanging out with friends or enjoying a nice dinner. The food was amazing — full of flavor, perfectly spiced, and served hot and fresh. I especially loved the naan and curries — so good!
The staff were friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, great vibes, tasty food, and a really nice atmosphere. Also, Gulab jamuns for dessert are a must.

Awesome spot. The service was fast, and attentive but not overbearing. My partner and I shared two entres and some naan- we had plenty leftovers (they also gave us a free extra box of rice to take with our food). The food was exceptional. Both our entres were 8 out of 10 spicy which was perfect for a kick without distracting from the flavor. I would go again in a heart beat.

Had an amazing experience here! The garlic naan was the best I’ve had — soft, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The dosa was crispy and delicious, and I absolutely loved the malai mutter curry — rich, creamy, and full of flavor. Everything tasted fresh and authentic. Highly recommend this place for anyone who loves Indian food! The person who severed us was really nice

We became a fan of this Indian Restaurant in just two days. Being Indian I can’t stay away from my chai, and this place (according to me) serves the best masala chai ever. For appetizers we ordered Chaat Papdi (would recommend) and Aloo Tikki (wouldn’t recommend ordering alone, maybe pair with Chaat Papdi. Their dosas and chicken curries are extremely delicious. We tried their Butter Masala Dosa and Podi Masala Dosa. Both of them were 5/5. The curries come with a decent portion of complimentary well cooked rice. We tried their Chicken Chettinadu Curry which was supremely tasty, although having ordered medium spicy it was a bit chilly but I would still recommend it. This was paired with Lacha Parantha, which tasted and appeared more like Naan (see photos) but I can make my peace with it. From the Tandoor Clay Oven menu we tried their Chicken Malai Kabab which comes with this complimentary curry that makes it 5/5 again. Can’t wait to try other things from the menu.

We tried to get to the Dosa Man in NYC this week but the heatwave kept us away. We stopped in Albany tonight while traveling and had to hit up the Dosa Grill since we missed out earlier in the week
I had the Onion Masala Dosa, wife had Spring Masala Dosa, oldest had Chicken Tikka Masla, and youngest had Chicken Curry. We also got a couple of sides of Vegetable Pakora. The Pakora was so good!
Everyone really liked their food. My Onion Masala Dosa was wimpy compared to my wife’s Spring Masala Dosa. We tried to order vegan but there was a little bit of a language barrier. She thinks her dosa had some cheese in it.
The boys food was really good. They both really enjoyed their dinner. The pakora was a huge hit with them and they liked their naan bread a lot too.
The restaurant was pretty busy. It smelled amazing when first walking in. The staff was really nice. And they have Bollywood movies playing so that’s fun. I’d be back if we weren’t from so far away. Thanks Dosa Grill!
