Lucia was amazing at the Dos Toros Taqueria on 14th Street (Union Square). She helped me choose everything from the cheese to the best premium steak for my burrito and her recommendations were perfect. The whole team worked fast and smoothly, and they even spoke Spanish with my mom, which made everything so much easier. Great service and great energy. I’m definitely coming back with friends.

I believe every aspect of my experience here was underwhelming compared to similar restaurants, such as Chipotle. The serving size is a bit smaller despite costing about the same as competitors. The number of options for burrito/bowl contents was smaller. The food itself is fine – didn’t have much seasoning to it. A bit dry. The restaurant itself is quite small, but there’s a decent number of seats. Though there was a horrible draft where the front seats by the windows are. I left before finishing my meal because I was chilly. So, yeah, I can’t really recommend this place.

The first time I had Dos Toros I left questioning every life choice that led me to ever step foot in a Chipotle. The staff here are actually nice and you don’t have to get on your knees to get decent portions. If Mexican chain resteraunts entered the Olympics, Dos Toros would win gold, silver, and bronze while Chipotle cries in the corner with their sad over priced side of rubbery chicken. I love you, Dos Toros. Never change.
