I’m visiting Johnson City and was determined to find a coffeehouse that was good!! This place went well past my expectations! The coffee is phenomenal! Customer service could have been a little better but they were helpful and kind enough. All in all cute and cozy atmosphere, amazing coffee, and customer service was good too:) will definitely be coming back a time or two before I leave.

No because this was a such a weird vibe. Okay Rachel? I think that might be her name, she was chill and talkative. Definitely the most enjoyable part of the experience. Homie dude who took my order was so awkward, and I’m like a super awkward person myself but it was … uncomfortable awkward. He wasn’t being gross or anything I just think the social skills were somewhere else. Not rude either – just different. But also I was feeling delirious after having drove 9 hours to get coffee. I’ll find all the excuses. Everyone except for that one girl and someone I asked about the door in the back being functional were all like NPC’s… lol so freaking weird. Even the people inside chilling at the tables. It was so freaking strange. It’s also so hard to rate this such a weird experience I don’t even want to rate it I just want to voice how i felt lol.

This is our local coffee house and we recently stopped in for a quick latte. Coffee’s were spot on and in big china mugs which enhances the experience IMO. Also had a couple of tasty savory scones just right with our drinks.

Allow them to suprise you if you like to try new things. I’ve asked this multiple times and Everytime it’s amazing. You can feel the love in it locally owned; it’s a hot coffee spot for johnson city, a must try that you’ll want to take your friends to. They have new art every month to start conversation and enlighten your mind. Quiet corners for peace while you study.

*Edited for owner response, see below* Maybe it was just an off day for the shop, but the coffee I had wasn’t particularly good. Also, the extra $1 surcharge for Oat Milk is unsatisfactory – most cafes nowadays don’t upcharge for milk alternatives.

I loved this coffee bar! Their coffee was very high quality and they had the options to substitute milk alternatives. They had plenty of seating and a lot of beautiful artwork along the walls. I highly recommend for anyone in the area!

The staff are so friendly and helpful. I loved how much they all seemed like one big happy family. The atmosphere was alright, it didn’t seem to match downtown Johnson City vibes, it would fit will in a more rustic city or a different part of JC. Anyway though, that’s just my opinion! Everything there was gorgeous, the art work, the chairs was so beautiful and comfortable, and I liked how they used glassware for, for here orders. I liked that because that helps to reduce single use materials. The coffee I got, wasn’t exactly what I like, but I also drink coffee rarely as I mainly drink tea. That day, I wanted coffee. My friend, he enjoyed their coffee. Everything was clean; I think that an establishments restroom reflects their kitchen. And this place’s restroom was spotless! So I think the kitchen is also spotless. I definitely recommend this place plus the fact that they had members of the LGBTQ Community working there and friendly to LGBTQ customers.

Visiting town for a birthday, and decided to get some coffee and breakfast. The toasts were good, yummy thick bread. We got the pimento cheese and pickle (!!!) and the salmon toasts. I got an iced chai and the flavor wasn’t really present. My partner agreed that it didn’t have a strong enough chai flavor. I would say skip the coffee and enjoy the food!

I really wanted to like Dos Gatos and am going to assume I caught them on an off day. It probably isn’t always this way but the staff was very unfriendly. I stood in line and the person taking orders walked away, never greeted or even looked at me. Someone else came in and ordered before me even though I was waiting, because the staff didn’t seem ready to take my order, or acknowledge me. There was a crazy lady in the store making a scene, and who was loitering outside. This probably put the staff in a bad mood, understandably so. My coffee however was sour tasting, and I paid for the larger size and received the smaller one. Felt too unwelcome to say anything to the staff. Once again, I probably just came in at the wrong time and I doubt service is always like this.

The coffee was amazing. I had the smoked salmon cream cheese toast and it was very good. The atmosphere was friendly. The only issue was it is a bit hard to find. Park in the big lot on State of Franklin an walk through the alley to main street.
