A MUST TRY place!!! The ambience is cozy and Romantic. Service is 5 stars all the way! Perfectly cooked stuffed mushrooms and the sauce was WONDERFUL as well! Huge side of flavorful spinach and Garlic. The Cod fish melted on the fork and mouth. The Mediterranean peppers were crisp and great.

More Than Meets the Eye. It’s a big room, nondescript pictures on the wall, a modest storefront. It was slow – mid-week, snowy, and a late lunch. Is this place going to be OK? Answer: a resounding YES!
The food was excellent! My 90+ yr old mother is a very picky eater. Chicken options were great. My pork chop was big, nicely cooked, moist.
The SIDES: We were especially pleased with the sides. Nicely prepared, generous proportions, and complementary to the main dish. [A pet peeve of mine: “sides” that consist of three green beans and a mini-carrot that you get on a salad bar, artfully stacked for Instagram, but wholly unsatisfying.]
As for atmosphere – the room is big, tables in standard arrangements. Tableclothes are nice, the cloth napkins thick and artfully folded. The owner turned on music – soothing cabaret style vocals; nice touch to provide atmosphere. A great effort. Besides, we were busy looking at our food!

Terrible experience here. Didnt even have to opportunity to sit down and enjoy food. We had a reservation. We had 2 different parties come in after my party. One did have a reservation, but the other did not, and since they knew the people working they secured a spot before my party. We waited 30 whole minutes from the time of our reservation. We even got there early! We were not acknowledged by the staff until 15 minutes after we arrived. Absolutely ridiculous. For some place that has great reviews and has a good reputation, I was incredibly surprised by their lack of professionalism. I hope others have a better experience than i did!

I met a friend for lunch at D’oro and it was the best decision we could have made. I ordered the Orecchiette Pugliese and it was impressive. The broccoli rabe and pasta were cooked to perfection and the fennel sausage added an amazing flavor. The presentation was marvelous! The fresh bread and olive oil with fresh herbs was exquisite. The owner was delightful and made us feel as if we were the only patrons in the restaurant. I can’t wait to come back in the evening for an intimate and relaxing dinner. D’oro is a gem of an Italian restaurant!

Easily one of the best Italian restaurants I have had the pleasure of eating at.
Service was top notch – our waiter remembered the menu by heart and thoroughly explained each of the specials of the day.
The dishes were very flavorful and well crafted. The mash potatoes were probably the best I’ve had at a dining experience. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and the sauces were great. The wine sauce for the fish was delicious and seasoned very well.
Highly recommend any of the seafood here.

My wife and I had dinner here on a Monday night, so the place was not too busy. We had a very nice and relaxing dining experience. Service was friendly and efficient, portion sizes were good, prices were reasonable, and the food was delicious.
We really enjoyed the meatball appetizer. Two large plump meatballs in a wonderful homemade tomato sauce. The veal saltimbocca over spinach was wonderful as was the grilled shrimp with grilled vegetables. The restaurant was very accommodating and readily permitted substitutions and took into account food allergies.
The sorbet for dessert was nice and creamy (as opposed to the frozen confection kind) and the bread pudding with vanilla ice cream was terrific.
The menu has a very nice selection of chicken, veal, fish and pasta dishes.
This is a BYOB, so no problem drinking exactly the wine we liked. We definitely will return here in the future.

Probably a traditional restaurant in the older city called chatham.
Chatham has a nice view and is a traditional city, maybe European style. We walked on the little downtown and choose the D’oro restaurant because i was interested to eat some pasta.
The food served was an chicken stuffed with spinach which is lovely crisp and well cooked, the taste was perfect, but, the other plate, we choosed the potato Gnocchi, but this one was terrible…. Not cooked well and the taste, relies to the same we buy on the market….
The atmosphere is very traditional, they don’t have alcohol license, means that you need to bring your own wine.
At the end, does not worth it for more than 100 bucks, but was…

Been a fan of D’Oro for a long time. Consistently solid Italian food with friendly service. The linguine with clams is always a family favorite. The chicken Sullosso is a dish if you want a ton of food with lots of flavor. Wow! You can’t go wrong with anything from D’Oro. It gets packed on weekend dinner service so reservations are a must. Lunch during the week is quiet so a great place to meet up.

I went to dinner with my husband and parents, dinner was delicious but the service here is terrible. I ordered a salad and the special they brought out soup even though i said the type of salad. I also asked for a bottle of wine to be opened multiple times and after at least 30 minutes they said they were out of the appetizer my father had ordered. People who sat after us got fed first. I would not recommend because we felt forgotten about and like we did not matter as people dining there which is a shame because it’s nice restaurant and BYO so would be a choice for dinner date . The service ruined the whole experience and we all agreed we were not taken care of properly.
