Fun casual restaurant with plenty of parking for trucks with boat trailers. Love the outdoor on the water atmosphere. The service was quick and welcoming. Highly recommend the Dorado margarita. They were serving crawfish which was customizable including adding crab, vegetables, Ramen etc. It was amazing and the perfect place to end our beautiful fishing day. Highly recommend!

Went there twice. On the first visit we had shrimp and crawfish. Service was great, atmosphere was great, food was great. Went back a few days later and it was like a different place. As we entered, a waitress greeted us. We sat outside and waited, and waited, and waited. We were just about to leave when someone finally came over and apologized for the wait. We ordered beer and oysters. The oysters arrived, but no beer, and no waitress. While we were waiting, a little bit older woman came by and asked if we needed anything. She actually gave us the specials menu, which we did not receive from our waitress. Ordered fish basket and mahi tacos with fries. The fried fish was delicious, tacos were just OK, but the fries were pretty soggy and lifeless. The waitress never stopped back to refill our drinks. Not sure I will be back.

Cool little bar & grill by Conn Brown Harbor with a nice view. It’s an open air place with patio next to where boats can pull up and dock. Good bar food, good drinks, cold beer and friendly service. Fish tacos pictured below are good. It’s popular with the fisherman and a hang-out for them after a day on the water. If you like to fish you may get lucky and pick up a tip or two. At least you may hear a good fishing story about the one that got away.

We are lunch at Dorado’s today and were disappointed. Lots of bees and flys targeting our drinks (we moved inside but was still an issue). Lots of dogs including one at the neighboring table who kept coming to our table and sniffing us. Food was a long time coming and just warm when we received it. Service was polite but I think it was the reason our food came out barely warm.

Stopped in at 1:20pm. No one came to get our order or drinks. Waitresses working all around us but couldn’t get their attention. A couple sat down next to us 30 minutes later and the waitress came up to them almost immediately. We just walked out. Not the first time we’ve been in and had terrible wait service.

A group of six of us went to Dorado’s for Mardi Gras. We had to show a credit card or debit card to run a tab. When we were ready to go, I asked to be closed out and paid cash for my purchases. When we got back to the hotel we were staying at, I checked my bank and the waitress had taken my cash ran my debit card. We were double charged. My husband went back to Dorado’s immediately and talked to the same waitress. She said that she was wondering why she was $120 plus over. She had split the money with another bartender who just so happened to be waiting in the parking lot in his vehicle. The girl had to get in her pocket and give my husband $60 and she called the guy who came in and had to open his wallet and give my husband the other $60. This has got to be a scam.

Upside: Pet friendly, can get there by boat, large parking lot beside so can accommodate vehicles with trailers. Good menu selection, food is good, inside / outside seating. Staff friendly. Would say prices are moderate.
Downside: Retro chairs in dining area a little un-comfy. However, there are picnic tables to sit at.
Comments: Review based on 20+ visits. Will go back and would recommend. Place has a good vibe.

My friend and I heard Dorado’s was open and had made some exciting changes……so, we popped in to see what was going on.
Immediately, I was greeted by Beau who was genuinely excited we were there and so friendly. By the time I made it to the bar, Taylor greeted me, and already had our drinks being prepared by an incredible bar staff!
It didn’t stop there. Before my 2nd drink of ice COLD beer, we had a menu in hand, and fried shrimp poboys on the way! The food came out fast and perfect. I got the tater tots for my side and my friend got the home fries. Beau checked on us and made sure everything was perfect. Taylor, a superstar, ensured we wanted for absolutely nothing.
All of our bar staff had smiles, were so friendly, and had fresh drinks ready as we got close to even asking. Tiffany has always kept good track of us, at the bar.
Taylor explained how fantastic the music this last weekend would be, and with her contagious smile, convinced us to come back every night this weekend! We enjoyed some of the best country music I’ve seen in a long time!
The customers seemed a mix of tourists and lots of locals. The locals were very friendly and welcoming, also. The vibe of this place is exactly what I hope for when searching for a new “locals” place to call home.
I have no doubt when I return, my beer will already be open and waiting. Yeah, they really are that good. Last night, without a word, our favorite drinks were literally waiting on us after Taylor saw us come in from the parking lot.
I can’t wait to go back. They’ve got all sorts of Facebook advertised specials for food and drink. I think there is another poboy in my immediate future.
There’s a ton of places to choose from in this area…….go here. You won’t be disappointed. Even if you were, tell Beau or Taylor. They will go out of their way to make sure they do right by you. I’ve seen it.

Dorado’s is the kind of place where the bullshit stops and the good stuff begins. No pretense—just a cold beer or a stiff whiskey, a view of the water, and a burger or shrimp taco that hits exactly where it should. It’s not fancy, but it’s everything you actually want. Life’s too short to skip places like this.

The atmosphere is awesome, and the food is good. However the food is cooked in a food truck, and the restroom is a trailer. That’s usually fine, but on a Friday evening we waited 1 1/2 for our food after ordering. The food truck kitchen just can’t handle any real volume.
I’d come again, but maybe not with dinner in mind.
