Donut star never misses. I live within walking distance of the Burnsville location which is dangerous but so amazing. THE CINNAMON ROLLS! I just tried for the first time and was actually blown away. Cinnamon roll hack – take off the frosting and microwave for 15 seconds then put frosting back on – sooo good! Staff is always super friendly too!

My husband and I go here a few times a year to treat ourselves – staff is always friendly and the donuts are great! Today I went in with my 9 week old baby in his car seat to pick up an online order. I made a comment about wanting to also get their seasonal donuts but quickly remembered I had left my wallet in car. Didn’t want to lug babe back to the car yo get it and said “oh wait, never mind, forgot my wallet.” They ended up giving me the two seasonal donuts for free, which was so kind! I will definitely be leaving a nice tip on my next visit!

We used to love Donut Star. Got a dozen today and have to say they were not great. The maple frosting tasted fake, the chocolate frosting didn’t have any depth, it was just sweet. The cream in the Boston cream donut was gritty and the raised donuts were so dry. The cake donuts still tasted good. Sorry to say, Donut Star was better before.

Fantastic old fashioned donuts and donut holes! The glazed old fashioned and blueberry donut holes are top tier! The old fashioned donuts have a crisp exterior with great chew. The donut holes are flavorful and not too sweet. You can tell they hand-make their donuts everyday!

Donuts are good and reasonabley priced. Size and bake are 4 out of 5. Flavor is 3 out of 5 with very mild flavors. Haven’t tried the coffee yet. Vibes, staff, and service are 5 out of 5. Worth it for convenience.

Got donuts from here with the family early in the morning. Employees were friendly and gave good service. I had been here previously before the remodel and like how clean and bright the bakery looks now!
I gave the cake donuts a try. While they were good, and I appreciated the real chocolate, I wasn’t blown away. My sister found the glaze on her raised donut a bit too sweet for her liking. I’d still like to come back to try other kinds of donuts.

The chocolate cake donuts stole the snow at Donut Star. The glazed chocolate donut has a pillow like crunch that provides an explosion of flavor with a subtly sweet glaze that paired well with a chocolate favored donut. The chocolate frosted cake donut is also a favorite as the chocolate cake is very rich. Apple fritter is huge and the apple flavor os stronger than other places which I appreciate. Donut Star provides quality donuts that I wouldn’t have expected do find in the south metro.
