Stopped by before my exercise at beach (10k walk), and ate breakfast. I had the SR3 (old folks menu.. ). Shhhhh, I just retired. I ordered over-medium eggs (made perfectly), crispy bacon (made perfectly), and a slice of Sourdough bread
(made perfectly). The home style potatoes were good.
I want to say my only criticism was that there was an flavor in my eggs that I did not recognize…I am not saying it was bad, just odd.
Now, just so you know, I always use the red and green hot sauce and a few drops of Tapatio sauce. It is possible that one of these three might have been the culprit, or the grill….where the eggs are made.
Anyhoo, I will be back…the servers were nice, and attentive to me and others…always with a smile.

Major yum!! I noticed they had a black bean scramble as a special, so I asked if they could tuck that into a breakfast burrito, and it was a delicious start to the day! My husband got the half breakfast and it was the perfect amount. Our early Saturday morning waitress was so fun – you can tell everyone there is so sweet and laid back. 10/10 would recommend! Life is indeed good at Don’s!

Drove up to Oceanside specifically for this breakfast and we were all happy that we did so. The flavors are great, the portions are large, and the prices are fair. Parking can be a bit tricky because they have a very small parking lot attached in front but only for about four or five cars. Otherwise it will be free street parking. We arrived around 10AM for Saturday brunch and had to wait about 25 minutes to be seated for a party of three. We felt the wait was worth it though. The food items arrived quickly after we ordered and our waitress was very polite. Inside is pretty large and they have indoor and outdoor seating options.
For my first visit, I chose my favorite breakfast dish, which is Eggs Benedict and decided to order their Chorizo Benedict. It honestly had some great flavors and was almost spicy but in the perfect way. I really enjoyed it and ate every bit of it and would highly recommend it. I already want to come back and try some more dishes and would definitely consider this one of the better breakfast options in Oceanside.

The biscuit and gravy was one of the best I’ve ever had. Fresh made and tender. Fluffy. Gravy is lick-the-plate delicious!

I was told about this place 2 weeks ago and have been 3 times for breakfast. The place is great, the staff is excellent (ask for Krista). Recommend the pork chops or steak and eggs. I’m going to try an omelet next. 🙂 I love the mimosa flights!!

My God I love this place! Definitely coming back when I revisit! Where do I start? … So the food was definitely a 10/10! I have pictures to prove. Me and girlfriend came back to San Diego twice this year and we never did a brunch the first time. But this place is definitely worth the visit! The staff was very pleasant and I love our server, she even told us how the table we sat at was a special experience to her when she first started working there. and The food again is 10/10, the egg omelette was delicioso. *chef kiss* Not to mention the lovely outdoor seating and the cool license plates displayed in the men’s bathroom, gave it a eclectic atmosphere! All in all it was a great experience for both of us. And I will be revisiting again! Thank you team!

This is a good home cooking kind of place. The food is really hot, fresh and tasty. The service was on par with what you would expect from a good diner. The atmosphere is comfortable and you can sit inside or out. They’ll even send you off with your coffee in a to-go cup. The downside is that parking was a challenge, the parking lot is small but you can park on the street when needed. Overall, a great place to eat.
