If you like crispy bacon dont come here. They dont seem to understand crispy. Pure fatty pieces. The potatoes are good. People are friendly. The food is just ok. When you ask fornsomething specific. I almost never get it the way I ask..ive gotten burgers, taco s, brisket. Everything.

I never leave food, specially barbecue. I couldn’t finish it. Flavor wise, I think the only thi g that was tastefully were the charro beans and mac n cheese. Mash potatoes n gravy were bland even after I put salt and pepper. The ribs, I was very disappointed. Little to no taste and the sauce just didn’t make it any better. The brisket was pretty good. And sausage, not impressed. The pecan pie, tastes more like store bought rather than in house baked. For that price, I think I will not be returning.

The burgers are amazing, the fries are amazing, and the quesadilla with smoked beef brisket was magically delicious! If you don’t love this place I recommend reassessing your values and getting your life right. I will return to try more of the menu. Definitely not a posh, fancy place. But I would come here to celebrate a special occasion, because this is the food of champions.

Based on the reviews, anybody who rated this place of five stars, you clearly have no taste and food for you to even rate this place so high.. Both locations need to be closed and the cooks need to be How to properly cook… Food has no flavor. The brisket is disgusting no flavor taste like water…They clearly do not know how to toast the bun correctly…. The bun was so dry it would turn to breadcrumbs…Spent $80 for trash food. To begin with who serves a barbecue sandwich on two slices of cold bread? Spent $15 for a barbecue sandwich and a McDonald’s cheeseburger is worth more.

Great little hidden gem! The breakfast tacos are def worth the $2.50!! Def try the pork chop taco! It isn’t on the menu but it’s pretty good, you get a whole pork chop in your taco! I really loved the self serve stuff w the onions, pickles, lemons, salsa and jalapeños! The salsa is really good! I had the bacon and egg taco and my bf had the pork chop taco and a bacon egg and cheese taco. We also had fried okra and it’s some of the best I’ve had !! Very crunchy and super fresh.

We stopped in on our way out of town and we hit the jackpot! This is a very unassuming location on a feeder road that we almost missed! We had amazing brisket, potato and egg, bacon and egg and carne guisada breakfast tacos i believe this is actually a BBQ place that also serves breakfast tacos because we live in Texas!!! I highly recommend stopping here

So I ordered it via Door Dash and that was my first mistake.

Choosing this place was my second mistake.

Brisket: fat did not render. Smoke ring was thin. Rub left no bark for flavor. Overall, bland, and dry because the fat didn’t render, but good texture.

Ribs: some of the worst I have had. Ever. All of the same issues as the brisket. Dry from too much time on the smoker without being wrapped, no flavor from seasoning, but texture was right.

Sausage: good flavor (clearly not homemade but very few places make their own sausage these days so not knocking it for that) but again, overcooked and dry to the point of being a little tough.

Sauce was a little thin, and clearly vinegar based, but fairly pleasant. Certainly needed.

Peach Cobbler: by far the most disappointing. Dry, like peach filling was all absorbed into the copious amount of breading. Just awful.

I still encourage you to try the place, because every place has a bad day, but don’t have it delivered.

And start small.

Not sure how long this has sat. But coming from a family who held cook offs… The baked beans are the only tasteful thing.

The turkey is drier than the Sahara desert. They either don’t care about people who rely on delivery services for work. Or they just lack passion for smoking meats. Definitely won’t be getting their BBQ if this is the standard.

Great visit, friendly staff and tasty brisket. Healthy portions and very flavorful sauce. Not much to look at, but many of the best spots are unassuming. A definite must stop on the BBQ trail.
