Today is my father’s birthday. He is now in his 80’s. I live in Pennsylvania. My father grew up in the North East after moving from Puerto-Rico as a teenager and Pastrami sandwiches are his thing! I called Donnelly’s deli, in Florida where my Pop lives, and the owner was THE MOST understanding and kindest person ever!!!! He even called my Pop for me to find out details about how he likes his pastrami sandwich!!! So thankful that people like him exist in this hard world!!! Thank you for helping me give my Pop a childhood surprise on his birthday when I can’t be there, Donnelley’s Deli…I think you are about to become my Pop’s new favorite spot for ordering out!!!!!!!! Took us way too long to try this place. After a little while I’m now a regular here once and sometimes twice a week. It smells absolutely amazing once you walk inside, and the food doesn’t disappoint. Make sure to know it’s CASH ONLY. The employees are great, especially the older man, he makes me smile every time I walk in. I highly recommend trying “The beast” and the chef salad, but have never had anything there that I didn’t like, it’s all been beyond amazing. Also if you call ahead they will have your order ready for you when you walk in, usually no waiting.

I have been going to Donnelly’s since high school (c/o 89). The BEAST is the best sub I’ve ever had. I visited the deli today and it was like I walked into a Trump paraphernalia store. It was absolutely disgusting! I won’t be going back!

This REUBEN is the best one I’ve ever had. The bread is so good. It’s not the average stale marble rye. The meat is juicy and tasty. The thousand island is so yummy and subtle. The amount of meat cheese and kraut is just perfect. I wouldn’t change anything about this sandwich. I will never get a reuben anywhere else in Hernando county. EVER.

Donnelly’s deli is so good every time. At least once a week or every other I get a sub or sandwich from this deli. Not a sit down place, order and go place. Great selection of Sammy’s and subs but you can also get whatever you want. GREAT prices for what you get. This isn’t subway or firehouse where the meat is measured and everything is done via an accessory line of dead in the soul employees. The owner greets you, the staff says hello, they make sure they get the order right, meat is overflowing and fresh (no green tinge like subway) and at prices that beat the chain shops. Why anyone would ever go anywhere else is beyond me, and they deliver.
Edit 9/5/22 as per usual delicious sandwiches, tried the breakfast Sammy’s and the steak and egg is absolutely perfection. Great job. Owner is wonderful.

Very friendly staff. The food was amazing! We ordered 2 Scrambled eggs, ham and bacon. Also 1 scrambled egg and bacon. We purchased chips separately. Everything was delicious and prepared at the moment with Board head products. Thank you so much! Will be there soon

Along with serving up some great traditional subs, dont overlook “The Beast”, which is a house specialty that uses ham, hot cappy, salami, provolone, and american cheese, then topped with your choice of lettuce, tomato, onion, peppers, oil, and vinegar! These fresh subs are big enough to satisfy even the largest of appetites, or comfortably share! Complete your order with chips, a drink, or even some of the fresh made desserts offered in the cooler. During peak times you may want to consider calling ahead, otherwise expect a little wait. When you go to pick it up, don’t forget it’s CASH only!
