The food took absolutely forever to come out and all we ordered was a quesadilla and pretzel sticks that can be cooked in maybe 2 minutes? Otherwise the bar is awesome I love the atmosphere . They have a TV on every table. It’s nice.

The service made this place. Super friendly and welcoming. Food was alright, don’t recommend the crab pretzel but everything else was good. I’m sure it’s a great local place to grab a drink and listen to some live music.

I was looking for a bar/restaurant that could accommodate a group of 12+, with live dance music, quality food (not ‘bar food’), and in a central location for the group. A friend recommended Donna’s Tavern. I hadn’t been there in years and decided to check them out. I messaged the new Manager, who responded quickly. I told him what I needed, and he advised that they would be happy to have us, and could take care of our needs. The party was 7pm, but I wanted to check out the restaurant area ahead of time, for decorating purposes. I arrived at noon, when they opened. I was greeted by Dawn, who introduced herself immediately. I advised that I was having a group later that evening, and befriend I could say any more she said “You must be Louann. You’ve got the birthday party tonight.” It was so refreshing to know that not only was my request acknowledged by management, but it had actually been conveyed to the rest of the staff! We discussed table/chair placement and I was on my way. When I returned later to decorate, everything was in place. The bar staff was friendly, the food was perfect, and the band, Detour, was great! I can’t say enough about the professionalism, courtesy, and just plain friendliness that we all experienced. Thank you Donna and crew!

First time here and I won’t be in any hurry to go back. Service was friendly but very slow. Took over an hour to get our food even though we were literally the only ones there. Atmosphere is somewhat dark and outdated. Prices were not cheap either. Almost $60 for 2 people for lunch, no drinks, appetizers, or dessert.

Great atmosphere! Charming attentive waitstaff. The patio was hopping with great music by an awesome band called Best Regards. The crabby tots appetizers were exactly what you’d expect! A fun evening all around!

This place has gotten progressively weirder as the years pass. They seem to run great specials or events but when you arrive, the entertainment is either late or lacking. But the worst issue here is the service. There is one nice older lady who does a great job, if she is your waitress everything is fine. However if you get anyone else, you either will wait forever to get service, or get none at all. They give the feeling that you are bothering them, they don’t seem to be aware that they are a restaurant. There will be no customers at all, yet no one will be doing anything but standing behind the bar. They no longer serve drinks in glasses or cups unless you are favored, which means no refills. Just cans. And to make matters worse they run your card after every part of ordering. Drinks-run the card, appetizer-run the card…until you get you get your card locked. It’s bizarre. And they don’t tell you this before you sit. Long story short go somewhere that makes sense. Much better places in dundalk with friendly waitresses, normal restaurant practices like taking your order, bringing you menus, serving you food, bringing you a bill at the end, and most importantly, other customers around. All this place needs to do is run like a normal restaurant and hire experienced waitresses and it would be fine. The food is good. Restaurant is nice. It’s a shame to lose customers over bizarre practices and poor staff.
