We’ve been to Đồng Quê before, but yesterday’s experience was absolutely unacceptable.

We ordered soft stir-fried rice noodles and crispy fried noodles. The moment the rice noodles arrived, we could smell it was burnt. One bite confirmed it — bitter, charred, and completely inedible.

When we politely pointed this out, the staff member argued that it was “pan-seared” and meant to taste that way. We’ve eaten this dish here before — we know what it’s supposed to taste like. This was not pan-searing. This was burnt food, and eating burnt food can make people sick.

Instead of taking responsibility or apologizing, he kept arguing. When that didn’t work, he blamed the chef for “stir-frying too hard” and walked off. No offer to replace the dish, no apology, nothing.

We left the entire plate untouched and made it clear we would not take it home. They still charged us full price for it without a word. No concern for customer satisfaction, no basic courtesy — just took the money and moved on.

Burnt food and zero accountability is not acceptable in any restaurant. We will not be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who values quality food and respectful service.

Wow! I’ve never had Vietnamese food like this before! I was curious about their pho, and it did not disappoint. It was absolutely delicious. We also ordered the Medium Baked Whole Fish and the Roasted Quails, both of which were fantastic. The portions were huge. We ended up taking home a ton of leftovers. The service was excellent & our server explained the menu clearly and patiently. Plus, it’s BYOB, which is a great bonus! I’ll definitely be back to order the pho again and try even more dishes.

I had just gotten off an 11 hour flight and had 6 hours before my next flight. Wanted some Vietnamese food.

When in the Dallas area and looking for a Vietnamese place to eat, this is a good place to dine. Yes, there are lots of good Vietnamese restaurants in the area.

This place is known to my family for one of the best 7 beef dish meals with good value for what you get. At the time of this writing, $54 is what you pay. Can feed a family of 4 to 6 easily. We always order other dishes, though.

All the dishes were tasty and fresh. I purposely did not eat any meals on the plane knowing that we would be eating here. Was starving and the meal definitely hit the spot!

I have been here many times. Therefore, yes, I would go back. Staff is always friendly, food out fast, food always fresh and always full when I leave. Enjoy.

Com Bo luc lac (shaken Beef) was great. It comes with side of soup which is not pictured. Prepared with red onions, garlic cloves, mushrooms, and green peppers. I was not asked about the meat wellness but it was incredibly tender. If you need additional items or to pay the check, you’ll need to catch a waiter or walk to the cashier as I was not checked in on. It’s a smaller restaurant and the cashier was friendly. Would absolutely revisit for this meal.

Another wonderful bake/fried Vietnamese whole catfish restaurant. This dish is great for family meal. The texture of the fish is crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Great value and generous portion. We were delighted with the crispy noodle as well.
Surprisingly, the fish bones were not removed before serving.

Went to Dong Que in Garland (Jupiter and Walnut). We ordered the Bo Cuon La Lot (ground beef wrapped in Hawaiian leaf) to make our own “Spring Rolls”. The dish comes out deconstructed and you make your own roll.
Very Fun, Healthy, and Delicious. They are BYOB!

The egg rolls were perfect.

The broth of the Pho was rich in flavor, and there was lots of meat.

The waiter was friendly and patient.
